Checking in was rough. There was no person at a central location to check us in. The person that eventually helped us did not speak English even though the hotel advertised that English was spoken. This is not a huge deal, but it created confusion. The wi-fi password provided was not up to date. I tried to communicate with the staff, but no one was around and I could only communicate through email to have questions answered. I tried calling, but they told me to work through Whats App, which was not working. All in all, very frustrating.

Comfortable stay in a lush garden
The owners were kind and welcoming with good recommendations on the activities I was planning. The bungalow was amazing, although I only used the outdoor kitchen once. Thicker curtains would help keep the room dark at night, when a string of lights came on outside in the garden for some reason.

You get what you pay for
I had to leave after one night. There were too many ants crawling on floor and wall. The hist moved me to the "upgraded" room but it had no AC and still had some ants crawling around. I guess if your expectations are really low it isn't bad. But if you are like me, that likes nice things -don't stay here

I like that it was close to the beach. I didn’t like that there was no hot water, bugs in the room and had to pay extra for A/C.

Bungalow beware! This room is the only one on the property that doesn’t have A/C and the windows only have screens, they don’t close. So if you’re looking for a quiet room with privacy don’t book this one. The curtains on the windows are so thin they’re see through so you cant really comfortably be in there. Also, because of this there are many mosquitos and ants that you just have to sleep with unfortunately. The staff is very friendly, but the listing should have more details regarding this particular room. The towel policy is two towels per three nights, we were surprised when they wanted to charge us extra for fresh towels. Again, the staff was very welcoming and the garden area is beautiful. The locations is also great with many places to eat, playa carizalillo at walking distance, and a tour/rental place as well. Overall the room is ok, but we were not aware of these details upon booking.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful place! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was great, breakfast was delicious, and the beach is a couple minute walk down the street. The neighborhood was quiet, but had a strip of restaurants and a few bars. Great place!

not the best service when it comes to being honest
We were told we had free breakfast and to come into the restaurant (We we’re leaving to go to meet a friend for breakfast) and then immediately afterwards we were told we had to pay as they made a mistake this was after being checked into the wrong room the day before I messaged the manager about my concerns and heard nothing back

Awesome little villa!
What a find! I could not have been more pleased by my stay in one of the comfortable and attractive little “villas”. Quiet, attractive and very well maintained. And the garden!! Beautiful and welcoming. The best hammock I have ever relaxed in! The breakfast was excellent, fair priced, delicious and plentiful. Loved the margaritas at the end of the afternoon in the adorable bar. Also, easy 5 minutes to the beach. I strongly recommend this charming and cosy hotel .

Friendliness of the staff was incredible. The BIG issue was that when we got there we were told that our room had been double booked. That meant we were not spending the night in our room. We had to spend the night in some else’s house. We were very disappointed and we will never go back.
