Repeatedly I tried to cancel this reservation. I telephoned and emailed them many times; I tried to contact them via Expedia. While other hotels have been understanding of the unique circumstances of the pandemic, neither Beersbridge nor Expedia seemed to care. I will never use Expedia again, and I will not stay at Beersbridge.

It took about 25 minutes for someone to come to the door. When they finally opened the door & you step inside you get slapped in the face with the stench of cigarette smoke. Fast forward to walking in the room... I honestly think they just made the bed from the previous guest & called it good. The floor has probably never been vacuumed & the trash cans were still full. Nothing had been cleaned. The condition of the room was awful. It was painted over the wallpaper which was peeling & cracking. I walked in long enough to connect to WiFi & book another room. I called Expedia to make a complaint & when they called the owner, he hung up on them. Expedia has yet to refund me. I feel like if you are going to advertise this room, you should stand behind it. All around awful experience & customer service. Do not stay here. The Holiday Inn is not much more & so much better & definitely cleaner.

The location was very good. However, the room wasn’t properly cleaned, the carpet wasn’t hoovered, the mirror had toothpaste stains on it, the curtains were dirty. No daily house keeping. They offered some sort of breakfast though.

not sure if I will have enough space to say how much we hated staying in this dirty place will have to try & condense everything best I can... First impression,, catering size Maxwell house coffee tin half full with cigarette ends !! drab dreary reception/hall, owner was pleasant in his way,, room no 5 was dreary. stained carpet, dirty net curtain tied in knot in middle of window, curtains dirty & stained, found one of tie backs on floor covered in dust, obviously been there for a while..stained walls, skirting boards & window surround thick with dust..there was a mattress protector on bed, but was actually scared to look @ mattress & pillows if the rest of place was anything to go by.!! extension cable ran from back of bed to where kettle was & I had to move it to where the mirror was to dry my hair..i'm sure this must be illegal. the sink, toilet & shower had been cleaned, but shower could have been better. but the surrounding area, especially on shelf behind sink thick with dust !!.. was no towel rail or shelf to put things on, had to ask for bath mat, but was told they don't supply that.! main light in room didn't work. dingy dining room with horrible furniture & they're idea of continental breakfast left a lot to be desired !! I could only stomach toast.so all in all hated our stay, I kept my socks on all the time in our room incase I picked up anything !! & if we were booked in for longer , we would have left on first night . they don't do rooms on daily basis either !

Bad energy, very poor management, shame
Secure front door entry not used due to owner being a smoker and not wanting to have to unlock it for himself every few minutes, so security for guests a massive risk, is left unlocked 24/7 despite what he will tell you, was unlocked for the entirety of my stay, when I checked in, another guest was allowed to use my room, her stuff was all over my room, my door was open and her shoes were in my doorway and her things were all over my room, she went in to gather when she realised it was MY room only saying sorry, it's clean I swear I was only using it until you came, the manager again made absolutely NO apology for this. This should NOT be allowed to happen, again another security risk and now cannot trust that guests (or other staff) won't be allowed to use your room as they please while you're away, making your key worthless, you are fined £50 if you smoke on the premises, however due to the front door always being open and people smoking just inside or just outside with the door open the building and rooms always stunk of cigarette smoke. Guests are unfairly penalised as a result, one rule for us, another for them. The noise levels here now that the old manager has gone (in the last few weeks) are horrendous 24/7, no one keeps it down or is told to, constant loud, obnoxious behaviour, lights are left on 24/7 so I had to block the bottom of the door, light still seeped in along the side, doors always slamming, I actually checked out early, horrible energy.

Good place for home base while you explore!
We stayed here while attending a convention in July. The room was downstairs, clean and comfortable, but not luxurious. If you are looking for a place to use as home base while you explore, then this is great. However, there are no toiletries provided so come prepared. Also, during the 5 days we stayed here there was no maid service. If that doesn't bother you (and it didn't bother us, my wife made the bed everyday herself), then this is a nice place to stay near the Hydro and the lawn bowling greens. Just a note for the accommodation - a chair in the room would be nice! Anytime you sit down, you have to sit on the bed.

Great location, would book again.
Location was a huge plus. Just steps away from blocks & blocks of pubs, restaurants and shops. Owner very friendly and personable. Was not on location when we arrived due to owning 2 property's, but left key on desk for us to get our stuff to room and head out into city. Would have no problem staying here again.

Amazing! Friendly staff as always, went for pleasure, a joy to stay here. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable. Very close to Kelvingrove park which is excellent and a number of good places to eat nearby. Always feel very comfortable staying here too.

Relaxing short stay for business
Excellent little room for the price. Felt very comfortable in my surroundings here, was able to come and go as I pleased. Private bathroom, which was an advantage over the other places in the area and why I chose here initially. Ideally situated right across from Kelvingrove Art Gallery and with good transport links to the city centre and plenty of places to eat around too there's nothing short of things to do. Continental breakfast is also offered and the staff couldn't be more helpful.
