Village Hotel Solihull
"PROS: Room service was affordable, tasty, generous, and prompt. The gym matched photos; Pilates, cycling, yoga, and other classes provided workouts. The pool, sauna, hot tub, and steam room surpassed standard hotels. Breakfast had variety and coffee options. Staff moved us from a flawed 1st-floor wall view to a better 4th-floor view. The shower got very hot, TV channels were plentiful, and beds were exceptionally comfortable; even better than our Purple Mattress 3. Housekeeping was kind and helpful. Onsite Starbucks was convenient after breakfast; the pub/bar/restaurant had live music and activities. CONS: Key cards demagnetized, requiring 4–5 reactivations in two weeks. Gym/pool preregistration was excessive. The bottle station behind the gym was inconvenient at night, especially after Starbucks closed. The room felt damp before showers; weak ventilation left walls and floors wet. A three-foot partition allowed splashing. An elevator was serviced without notice, briefly trapping one of us; staff tested the fire alarm without warning. We could not call the front desk; app/web messages went unanswered for 30–45 minutes, and staff confirmed poor monitoring. All double-double rooms had showers; tubs would help. The AC dripped on heat. Little was walkable. Issues with first room that caused us to request a change: The view faced a wall; the TV remote lacked a Home button; two of five hanger mounts were broken; construction was loud; and bathroom and shower floors were filthy."
Britannia Hotel Birmingham New Street Station
"Get what you pay for, can’t beat the location and room was great"
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - City Centre by IHG
"Good location. Nice rooms. The second time we have stayed and both times there were long queues at the bar late at night. There were two staff working but both struggled to communicate and didn’t understand what people were trying to order hence the long queues."
Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham
"Great Hotel with great amenities! Will always stay at Leonardo Royal!"
The Grand Hotel Birmingham
"Great hotel - recently renovated, good location close to lots of bars and restaurants - high quality throughout, would definitely stay again"
Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham
"The stay was absolutely wonderful and our room was perfect and spotlessly clean. The only thing I would say is the breakfast is basic, and the sausages were terrible. There wasn’t hardly any Gluten Free options for breakfast or for the dinner from the Sky Bar Restaurant. I think the breakfast needs updating to suit more people. The decaf coffee latte was undrinkable (which earlier in the day we paid for)."
The Arden Hotel & Leisure Club
"Ideal for airport and NEC"

A stay of at least 2 days is recommended for exploring key landmarks, historical sites, cultural attractions, and natural parks. This period offers great value for money and is ideal for those seeking an affordable and enriching experience.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover great hotel deals in Smethwick by visiting the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. Enabling email alerts or push notifications means you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you remain updated on the best opportunities to save.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors like the hotel’s location, star rating, and season, so being flexible with your dates might help you save on your stay at a Smethwick hotel. For those seeking something different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a more appealing option.
- Consider your location: Remaining closer to major attractions or the city centre can be convenient, yet it often comes with a higher price tag. For more affordable rates, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing cost with accessibility to the places you plan to visit. You might explore independently run hotels further afield, which usually tend to be cheaper and can offer a more authentic, budget-friendly experience.
