This property was simply gorgeous. The room was filthy, filled with all sorts of bugs. There were dead Moths, dead flies and a host of other little flea like insects all over the room. The room was disappointingly hot. There were only two windows that opened up for air that was dangerously hot. My family and dog were miserable. We left at 8 am to get away from this lodging experience instead of waiting until 11am. We took great pictures on the lake but that was about it. NOT okay to have their cabins in such filthy conditions. The carpet was an entirely different story where you could just imagine what the stains were from.

This place is gorgeous!!! The Ponderosa cabins sit right on a gorgeous lake with manicured grass, private docs and large Ponderosa trees!
The property grounds are beautiful and the cabins are nice but dated. The glass on the fireplace was broken in our cabin, the towels very worn and the screens were so bent that the bugs could easily fly in. The cabin and property had lots of spiders! I do not mind that too much but the lodge is in desperate need of maintenance and upkeep. The deck has raised boards that we kept tripping on, nails hanging out and the threshold has a jagged raw piece of sheet metal along the base. If you are wearing flip flops you could cut your foot badly. The main dock has sunk in on one side and has nails hanging out all over.
I will be returning to this property because of it’s natural beauty but wish they would put more time in on the maintenance and upkeep.
