The hotel is located within 3 minutes of patong beach. Around the corner is bangla road. Downstairs is 7-11. Next door is the coffee club and plenty of masssge shops. The hotel is clean, big refrigerator and good air conditioning. The manager Zar is accommodating, attentive and quick to assist. I extended my stay. I would highly recommend and would stay here again in my next visit.

No elevator, no tv. No separation between the shower and bathroom. When you shower then the floor is wet when you go in later to the bathroom.

Tuna Boutique was conveniently located within 3 minutes walk of patong beach. Next door is a 7-11 as well as the coffee club. Bangla road is around the corner. Located next door is also a fun hostel that I often attended called Lub D. manager Zar was very accommodating, attentive and easy to reach. The hotel is affordable and clean. Big refrigerator and a good air con system. I extended my initial stay for another 2 days. I would highly recommend. Great value, I would stay here again on my next visit.

Sad to write this review because a few experiences made this a negative experience even though the hotel itself was decent and the staff was kind and helpful. After checking in, the manager called me to tell me they couldn’t find my reservation, so I sent it to them again and thought it was resolved. The next day, hotel staff knocked on my door to tell us to check out even though we had one more night to go. I showed my reservation to them and I thought it was resolved. That night, hotel staff tried to enter the room at 1AM during sleep for reasons unknown. They almost succeeded and had I not rushed to the door and knocked on it from the inside they would’ve came in. Normally I would attribute this to some misunderstanding, but the hotel door doesn’t have bolts or deadlocks, just a lock on the door handle. The area is near busy nightlife and quite seedy at night, so I felt unsafe and left for another hotel at 2 in the morning. This is very unfortunate because the staff has been helpful and nice, but this became a safety issue that I couldn’t compromise on.

2/10 Poor

Overall, a bizarre and stressful experience. Positive: the staff were quite friendly. The location is good. My room was clean. Negative: well, the big problem was that the hotel was brand new, and was not ready to take customers. In fact, when I arrived, the man in reception asked me why I chose to stay in a hotel that was still being prepared. I told him that I did not know this was the case, as the hotel was advertised, and they were accepting business. They were lots of missing features to the hotel room for the first few days. But the big problem was that the shower and toilet were not working! After a day of complaining, the shower was fixed. But not the toilet. I had another two days without an operating toilet. And it was only partially remedied when I was told to turn off and on the water at the wall when using the toilet. On every single day of my visit, I asked if this matter was going to be resolved. And every single day I was told that it would be resolved very shortly. At the end of my stay, I asked if I could get a discount for my troubles. I was told: “you should have told us you had problems with the toilet“! Adding insult to injury. Due to the time of year, this was an expensive hotel. Maybe it will become better with time. At the moment, I can honestly say this is one of the most bizarrely stressful hotel experiences I have had.
