Overall, a bizarre and stressful experience.
Positive: the staff were quite friendly. The location is good. My room was clean.
Negative: well, the big problem was that the hotel was brand new, and was not ready to take customers.
In fact, when I arrived, the man in reception asked me why I chose to stay in a hotel that was still being prepared. I told him that I did not know this was the case, as the hotel was advertised, and they were accepting business.
They were lots of missing features to the hotel room for the first few days. But the big problem was that the shower and toilet were not working! After a day of complaining, the shower was fixed. But not the toilet. I had another two days without an operating toilet. And it was only partially remedied when I was told to turn off and on the water at the wall when using the toilet.
On every single day of my visit, I asked if this matter was going to be resolved. And every single day I was told that it would be resolved very shortly.
At the end of my stay, I asked if I could get a discount for my troubles. I was told: “you should have told us you had problems with the toilet“! Adding insult to injury.
Due to the time of year, this was an expensive hotel. Maybe it will become better with time. At the moment, I can honestly say this is one of the most bizarrely stressful hotel experiences I have had.
