We stayed at Hotel Skeppsholmen for the nights in May 2024. It was unseasonably warm outside, but the air-conditioned room was always nice and cool. The hotel's location is convenient to get around Stockholm, yet tranquil and quiet. The island of Skeppsholem has the Modern Museum, the Toy Museum, and a few restaurants. It is nice to walk around in the evenings along the water. The hotel itself is in an old army barrack which has been beautifully redesigned and updated. Due to the age of the building, it isn't sound proofed but this wasn't an issue during our stay. The rooms are a decent size, but the beds are a bit on the firm side. Mattress preference is individual, but for me the beds were very hard. Some of the design of the bathroom is very much "form over function." The shower and sink both get water everywhere, so be sure to keep items you wish to stay dry away from the shower door and sink area. Breakfast was adequate and quite good! The staff were all friendly, helpful, and professional. If ever in Stockholm again, I would definitely return!
