I wanted to thank those who worked here, especially the lady who spoke English at the front desk. We were very out of our comfort zone. My mother had just come out of 7 days in an Italian hospital with no English. The cleaning ladies help us feel very welcome. They are super lovely towards us. Even though there was a language barrier. The restaurant staff should be promoted as managers as the waiters and waitresses tried very hard to give good service. Managers at the time needed to be fired.

Terrible experience
A terrible place. The a/c did not work and they don't bother fixing it. The windows would not shut properly. The staff were terrible and do not care about any customer service.

“Frustration in Messina”
It could be a great time but the administration was not so good. They gave a little room to me and my wife and a big and spacious one to my friends for the same price. I was sad because I’ve made the booking for us. They also promise to fix the air conditioning as it was not working but did nothing. I had to sleep with a wet towel coz it was really hot and when I opened the varanda to cool down a bit, some mosquitos enter and made the night worse. Breakfast was good (average) for a 4 stars Hotel.

2 Nights in Messina
Were only there for 2 nights having attended a wedding in the area so, we did got participate the resort activities. The restaurant seemed quite busy and there was outdoor music and dancing the nights we were there. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and capable. The resort itself was not particularly attractive and can use some updating but it was kept extremely clean. Overall it presents itself as a basic yet comfortable place to stay.

Nice little stop
Friendly staff and good service But not aesthetically pleasing to look at Could do with a few more updates In the pictures on the website make it look very glamorous where as it is a little dented and dirty looking when you actually arrive However staff cannot be more helpful when needing an iron and a new adapter as the ones we had brought or not suitable for the plugs in our room they couldn’t be more helpful We were staying here for a wedding so we didn’t actually spend much time at the hotel therefore wasn’t too much of an issue for us if we were here to stay as a couples resort with no gym and only tennis and the pool is your fitness options I don’t think we would pick this hotel again

Only a quick stay
I can't say too much abot the hotel because I arrived really late and left early in the morning. What I had the chance to use was absolutely fine.

Sleek, clean and comfortable
Great, modern hotel, excellent service and friendly staff. The area is somewhat run down, but the locals are very friendly. The only meals I took in the hotel were the ample buffet breakfasts, which were very good. Excellent local restaurant just 5 mins walk down the road (turn right out of the hotel).

3 night stay that was just ok..
Capo Peloro Resort is a decent Hotel...Some of the people did their best to make us comfortable...Others didn't, ie. providing ice for the room, breakfast welcome, etc. The Hotel was worn down and while work is underway there is a great deal to make this place a better place to stay. Location is not that great but certainly the remoteness gets you away from noise and that is ok. The breakfast were really very good but the reception not all that great while eating.

Very nice hotel with all amenities.
The is a beautiful hotel with a great lobby and amenities. Our balcony facing the rear of the building was not a great view and would have preferred the front view of the ocean. Was an enjoyable stay and would recommend it.

4/10 Fair

The bar is not managed by the hotel and have private parties with loud music in the courtyard onto which many of the rooms face. This one - for hundreds of people - went on until 2 o'clock in the morning, despite numerous complaints to reception. At least they realised they could not expect me to pay for the room.

Most awful breakfast I've seen in 4-star hotel
We stayed in this hotel for one week. The room was basic, with all fixtures slightly loose, the balcony was not clean, poor TV reception, and we got only one small piece of soap for the whole week (when we asked for extra soap the cleaning staff member said she did not have any left). However, we were mostly really disappointed with the breakfast, which was more like a breakfast in a hostel – no fresh fruit, no egg, just one type of unpalatable cheese, coffee was horrendous, juice awful, tea was some sort of warmed up iced tea, everything tasted of chemicals. When we spoke with the hotel representative concerning this, he told us egg was not in the contract, and did not have any answer concerning anything else. The following morning we saw that none of the issues raised were addressed. We ended up having breakfast in a nearby coffee shop the whole week. We did bring up the breakfast issue with the hotel staff once more, but they did not seem to take this on board. We travel a lot and always stay in 4-star hotels and this one certainly does not reach the standard, despite their claims.

very good impressions.
Very very friendly people, lovely room, all very convenient and comfortable, very good impressions. Sea at a comfortable distance. Disadvantages: Breakfast same every day with a complete lack of vegetables. It is not enough entertainment in the hotel, and the city to go far.

A dishonest hotel
We booked and paid for this hotel because the hotel in Expedia web site said this hotel is in the city centre. We called the hotel a day before the arrival. The hotel staff said it was 10 km from the city centre and we need to take the taxi for 30euro to reach the hotel. We asked for a pick up from the train station. But they didn't want to. We arrived on Sunday 8:50pm. There wasn't any public transport and two taxi drivers told us that the hotel was 15km from city centre and the cost for taxi was 40 to 50euro one way. We were going to another city early next morning. We had to pay 95euro for another hotel near the station.

Nice resort with an early wake up call
We stayed here one day after a very long drive and ferry ride and after we found the hotel (The hotel is very had to find) the experience was nice. Room was fine and the hotel facilities were nice The internet is only is the common area, so no room access. That was unfortunate. My only real complaint was that we were woken up very very early by a local Rooster. (Although that’s not the hotels fault, it was still annoying) I wished we has been there a bit longer we would have used the pool and other facilities but our experience was good

No receptionist? Try the bar next door.
Most aspects of our stay were fine, however I was very disapointed not to be able conatct reception after midnight to ask them to turn off their annoyng corridor music that was stopping me from sleeping. After several calls I ended up having to get dressed and go down to reception in person. After waiting for 5 mins in the unattended reception I tried my luck in the bar next door. Bingo - he was there with his pals. Eventually he did turn the music off, while mumbling that he thought he'd done it earlier. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is restricted to staying in that particular region of Sicily but if you can be more flexible then I would look at other options.

Recommended - will stay here again
The Capo Peloro Resort hotel was recommended to us by locals and I now know why: location, facilities, choices, and price. The hotel is well-located for the more relaxed western end of Messina, closer to the tantalising shortest gap between Sicily and the Italian mainland, and a minute's walk from the excellent restaurant il Tamburino (as an option to the hotel's own restaurant#. There is a generous spaciousness in this hotel, eg the width of the corridors, plenty of space in numerous lobby areas with thoughtful power supplies so one can use #say# laptops whilst waiting for friend or family. Natural light makes its presence felt without it being overpowering when the sun is really strong. Facilities and choices included the exercise area and luxurious outside pool. There were snags when the group I was in were there: the door for one room was almost impossible to open #needing 10 minutes of patience and persistence#(thankfully, no small children were part of the group#; safes were usually dysfunctional #one was almost impossible to open by the users when trying to retrieve their valuables; another was unusable as it was open but with the bolts permanently out, so it was impossible to close); you had to know to keep an electronic card in the light slot otherwise the room went dark after a minute; balcony door wouldn't open; and the muzak in the corridors was a bit loud. But I would happily stay in this hotel again #and indeed intend to do so).
