Lovely accommodation in Ortigia
We so enjoyed our stay here. Ina could not do more for us and her breakfasts were varied and delicious. The location was perfect close to the market with a balcony and sea view. The room was spacious very clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities and we would definitely come again.

Ortigia seaview
Ida was very helpful and gave us all the tips we needed. It was a great location for walking the area and to the sights. View of the sea was beautiful. The street was noisy early in the morning as sellers set up their market stalls, but fine with the double windows closed.

I would not stay here again
Host was very rude. Our booking stated breakfast. Host argued this & no breakfast was served. Made us feel very unwelcome right away. Shower is cold as boiler gets turned off. Room very clean & above a great market. Room difficult to find within the block as not signposted. Coffee pods charged 0.50c per time. No outdoor seating as advertised & the great pictures are of her own accommodation not the guest bedrooms. She also tries to retain your ID so beware!! Awful experience & made to feel wholly unwelcome.

Basic but pleasant
The location of this property is great. The building is very dated. The room was clean comfortable. It is basic accommodation, nice enough for a short stay.

It was difficult to find and because we were not advised of the Limite Traffic Area when entered Ortigia we ended up paying a fine of 100 Euro.

Spectaculae View
We stayed in the Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! First off- the room was a lot bigger than we expectes and has a truly spectacular view. It is towards sunrise so you are promised an amazing start of the day for the early birds. Breakfast is at the main apartment - everything is home made, fresh and delicious. I recommend this place to everyone visiting Ortigia.

Interesting B&B - not what i expected
It is situated next to the market, with cheese stall, fruit & veg & fish restaurants & a very friendly coffee shop next door. On arrival we felt that the host was abrupt, however the rooms were spacious with sea views. The description on the website said there would be tea making facilities, room service & free bottled water. But there were no facilities in our room or room service, no bottled water & the local tap water is salty. When we arrived we found a kettle with tea & coffee making facility in the hallway, but this was taken away on the second day of arrival, & were never seen again. The breakfast cost €7pp per-day; they had a good selection of fruit, breads, meats, cheese, cakes which changed daily. There’s a couple of small beaches nearby, we liked the beach next to a park & sun lounger bar, walking distance. We met a lovely danish couple where we stayed & noticed how warm & inviting the host was with them, but that warmth was not transferred to us. The host was very good in helping us book a taxi & ensuring that we go & visit certain areas. We found the Ortigia film festival was held that weekend & we appreciate the suggestions. We took the hop-on-off bus located just outside the car park & visited the Archaeological Park Neapolis which has great views, the most impressive part was the Ear of Dionysius. We would visit Syracuse again, but I would probably look for an apartment in the same area as it was safe & friendly. This B&B is good if you are looking to dine out

A+
We had a good stay ant Ida the Host was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. View from our room was beautiful; looking over the sea and Syracusa. Parking is a bit problem but if you wait few minutes you'll find for sure. Would recommend this to everybody.

Good Location in Siracusa
We had a large, quiet bedroom and bathroom with a shared balcony overlooking the marketplace and the the ocean. Self Parking was not an issue. Since our room was the furthest away, we were disappointed that we did not have wi-fi in our room but the owner allowed us to use her apartment when needed and assured us that this would be resolved over the winter. She was also very pleasant and gave us good tips on what to see and do in Siracusa, in the surrounding area and for our subsequent travels.

This is not a hotel. It is a B&B situated on the 4th floor of a block of flats. Viewed from outside it looks like a tenement block and we searched the area, not believing this could be the "hotel" that looked so nice on-line. The entrance hall is dirty and smelly and we dared not use the tiny lift but walked up 12 flights of dirty stairwells to the 4th floor. Rooms are spread out in tiny passages with many doors which one must lock and open with a key and lots of steps: very awkward. Room was clean with a nice view, bathroom basic, shower tiny. B&B had no amenities or service. Good location for walking around the island. All in all, not a nice place to stay and a rip off for the quality.

great b&b
Nice b&b, great location in Ortygia next to wonderful street matket. That market is also little problem if you want to sleep longer than 6am... It is quite noisy! Ida, the owner, is warm and friendly. Good breakfast, almost all is homemade. Parking is easy, the Parcheggio Talete is next to b&b and costs 10 euros/24 hours. I highly recommend Ortygia seaview!

Oplev Orthigia Syracusa
Fint B&B i ældre ejendom.
