I arrived early in the morning of my check-in day and while my room wasn't ready yet they did store my luggage so I could walk around a bit. They did have the room ready before 12 noon, so I was able to check-in early.
The room was clean and well maintained, everything worked as expected, with maybe the exception of the shower. The shower head was old and while it did dump out a lot of water it didn't "jet" very well so I had to be directly under it and couldn't direct the flow. Occasionally while showering in the morning the water pressure would drop for a moment or two and pick back up.
A couple of other nits, and keep in mind this is my first trip to Dublin, so these may be Irish quirks or not: No washcloths, I asked but was told to use the "small" towels which were large hand towels, the tub and sink faucets were separate older fixtures. They worked well, but for the sink if you just want to wash your hands and face you either get cold water or scalding hot water.
The only one big problem with this hotel/my room was the noise at night. This hotel has a large bar and live music every night and the room I was in I could hear every note and drumbeat, especially if someone opened the outer door to the alley my window overlooked. There were arguments in the alley, the traffic from the road going by, seagulls fighting, a nearby security alarm going off, you name it. All hours of the night most nights.
