Hotel describes itself as 5 star, but more realistically it should be high end 3 star. It’s all a little dated with lots of maintenance issues outstanding, for instance, many public area toilets without locks, damaged pathways, poorly kept mini golf, poor quality bath towels, poor mosquito controls (complex us built on reclaimed mangrove area) and many rooms have poor views. The bar service varies, with US dollar tippers getting the best service, even though tips are supposedly included. Communication with the hotel via email was poor, with requests being ignored.
