An ok Motel, the rooms finished entirely in T&G wood, not particularly attractive. Overall it was clean and comfortable. The office was a mess at check in and not gushing with a welcome

Exceptional! Owner very friendly and warm. The cabins are very clean and have everything you would need. The property is large for our two dogs to roam. You can also sit by the water or outback of the cabins for a lovely view. Thank you to the owners for being so kind to us and giving us a tin of moose meat and showing us around. All the best.

Beautiful property, spacious and well appointed rooms. A comfortable, meticulously clean place you’re glad to come back to after a long day or sit on their chairs and watch the sea and let the world melt away.

Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the water’s edge on the bay. Only downside was just decaf coffee at breakfast.

Great place to stay but could add a more useable bed side table with drawer, a shelf over the clothes rod and a folding suitcase rack. There wasn’t anyplace to put our luggage or backpacks except the floor. Beautiful, well kept and lovely otherwise.

6/10 Good

A bit off the beaten track (dirt road with potholes) but enjoyable and remote. Rooms do not have windows. The door has windows but they do not open. No ventilation in bathroom. It was cool for us (late August) but not sure what they do in hot weather. No rain gutters so we had to dash through the ‘waterfall’ to get into the room during a rain storm. Clean rooms and great staff. Oh and bring earplugs … could hear our neighbours talking and later snoring.

6/10 Good

Owners was absent; person “babysitting “ in their absence seemed somewhat clueless. The interior of the rooms was dark due to being entirely paneled in wood. More suited to a hunting lodge, which seems like it is. The reason we left a day early was it was far from the activities we were going and the gravel roads were atrocious, with pot holes on either of the routes in and out. The signage for the lodge was also confusing, making it difficult to actually get to the lodge.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Its right on the water so beautiful views. Loved walking the tide in the morning and evening. Even though every room was booled it still felt like we had thebplace to ourselves.

This property is not in town so those who want to be in a private location will love it as much as we did. The rooms are clean, really comfortable bed, and the owners are so helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Viking Lodge Motel

It’s an excellent location, with wooden fixture and excellent dinning facilities at out door. You can see, swim and enjoy your time. Staffs are excellent, helpful and we’ve have.

Nicely maintained, rustic property. Room just big enough for luggage. Access via a gravel road, bumpy at times so take it slow. Roughly half hour drive to sites like L’Anse Meadows, restaurant. Self serve breakfast with homemade muffins, yogurt, cereal with a nice orchard. Recommend berry ice creams at Cafe Nymphe, and dinner at The Norseman for an upscale night out.
