Walls were grungy looking.. Beds were very comfortable.. Nice staff. Great price.
Dirty Room, Heat vent coated in dust and dirt, thin sheets, uncomfortable bed, EXTREMELY rude staff, no access to wifi, pool, or any of the promises amenities. This is by far the worst experience I have had staying at a hotel in all my travels around the globe. The staff were some of the rudest and most unhelpful I have ever encountered. The second member of staff who refused to help in any way after we were 3 hours past check in and over an hour past guaranteed check in time had such a poor ego he decided it was a good idea to try and call the police on a guest who refused to leave and simply wanted to check into his room after having been awake over 28 hour and a 14+ hour drive.
The good: great price, the pool was clean and perfect temp. Beds were very comfortable and the room spacious. Staff was curtious and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. The bad: We stayed in a room in the Mount Washington wing, right next to the entrance. It was SO loud that it ruined our stay. People coming and going all night and letting the door slam. People literally running up and down the hall above us until midnight, while yelling. Their voices carried down the stairwell which was across our room, it sounded like they were IN our room. Calls to the front desk to complain were not answered. Its a shame because everything else was wonderful. I am willing to stay here again however will request a room on the top floor and away from any entrance.
Wanted to ski another day so I looked for the cheapest hotel in the area. This was it and on my next trip I'm going here for the whole trip. The only thing wrong was the fact that I wasted money on a bigger name hotel for the other 5 nights. It was not fancy but there was nothing I wanted that wasn't there. I was very impressed with what I got for my money.
Overall great stay. Only complaint is the room could use some more lighting, it was pretty dark. There was no fridge even though the room description said there was but it wasn't an issue for us since we only stayed 1 night stay. Can't beat this property for the price. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. The lobby is very cozy and lots of unique touches, gives you a great feel of New Hampshire around the fireplace. Will not hesitate to book here again next time.
This hotel is in a fantastic location and loved the room
Have to say we were a little disappointed. It's a nice hotel with a super friendly and helpful staff, but it is outdated. We spent some time reading by the fireplace, which was really nice, and we felt safe there because it's a wide-open space. We felt less safe by the pool area, where no one is enforcing COVID guidelines, from what I can tell. There were eight people crammed into the hot tub in the evening (from two separate groups). The regular pool was maybe 50 degrees, so we were not in it for very long on a cold night because we had to walk outside in 20 degrees to get back to our room. This was disappointing because we picked the hotel to use the pool. The room's lighting was very dark even when all the lights were turned on. There's no overhead fixture. The bedspread was super old and even had holes in it. But we did sleep well. Two other pluses: the coffee machine is great, and there are Peloton bikes. But I couldn't find any wipes to wipe down my equipment with, and some 5-year-old next to me was playing around on pretty much every piece of equipment available while his mom logged some miles. Maybe we'd stay here again because of the convenience, but we'd probably at least look elsewhere.
Staff was fantastic, lovely decor, rooms clean and comfortable
Green Granite is always good, I've stayed there many times. I miss their big breakfast. Stupid covid.
