Good place to stay
A unique, fun place to stay. Hotel staff was very accomodating in helping us to have a room that met my disability needs. Shuttle met us at railroad and took care of getting our luggage to our room.

Check in is 3. At 3:30 I checked in and was told the room may or may not be clean, but if it wasn’t I could leave my stuff in the room and comeback later. Why would they give me a room if they didn’t know it was clean and why would I leave my stuff there? The clerk was quite distracted by two coworkers who weren’t busy. Service was poor for lunch. I was finally given a menu and told what they didn’t have, but no one ever came back for my order. I left and ate elsewhere. Parking was inadequate. People were double and triple parked in the overflow lot. It was late in the season so who knows what it’s like in summer. BTW this property is owned by Holland American cruise line.

Washers
The self serve washers were run by an app that did not work. Staff was able to start them with their over-ride. Glad to have them available

2/10 Poor

Paid for a suite and got a crooked floor, broken lock on the paito so we couldn't be secure, smelled of intense cleaner, and if you want to watch anything on the television at night forget about it. Highly don't recommend and do not trust.

Great service but room condition poor
All the people working there are very helpful. Unfortunately, the room’s condition is very poor. Carpet and sofa feel and look dirty. Bathroom floor tile is broken. No WiFi signal in room. We were there in September; maybe the condition was better at the beginning of travel season.

Check your linens before it’s bedtime. Ours were slept in and obvious that someone had eaten in bed. So gross!

When I checked in, I was given the key to an already occupied room. I opened the room door, for the room they assigned to me, and someone else’s luggage was in the room. Luckily, no one was in there but that is a huge privacy and safety issue. The front desk staff didn’t seem like it was a big issue and acted normal when I told them what happened and assigned me another room. Also, the rooms are not what they look like in the pictures. The rooms are very old, probably 20 to 30 years old, do not expect anything modern, as seen in the pictures. Parking is an issue, we had to circle the lot for 10minutes before we could find a spot. There isn’t a place for you to temporarily park when checking in because of all the tour busses. Beautiful property, however I would not recommend staying here. The pictures in the listing are very misleading and the staff are not concerned with safety or privacy issues.

Great service but rooms need updated
The staff and service is exceptional. The accommodations are outdated and minimal. There are no USB ports in the rooms and no room service.

We liked the friendly, relaxed feel of the resort. All our interactions with staff were very positive, especially Martine at reception, Nick at the bar & Mary-Anne at the door/ tour area. Easy parking and central to the village (especially for those without a car).

Grizzly Bear Resort is the best option in Denali
One of the two rooms that I had booked was next to the ice machine in cotton wood building. When I went back to the front desk to request for a different room, the representative was clueless and on top of it they offered another room with same issue. The representative who interacted with me was unprofessional and I had to request that individuals to engage the supervisor.

Arrived at property around 6:30 PM.. no parking was available - they asked me to park little further. Went to park at other parking area where no shuttle was available and it was not possible to walk back to checking counter with 4 bags. Drove back again at main parking lot since I had 4 bags with me. Staff was helpful but parking arrangement is horrible.. avoid this place if you have more bags / luggage.
