The overall good experience has been ruined then i received invoice for stay. This hotel charged me 25EUR for couple of hours umbrella rent. No one at reception notified about this paid service. All other hotel chains have this service for free. So You have some points to improve still. I was very upset to pay for umbrella 25% of my whole stay.
Great location with secure parking (€24 per night). Warm welcome from reception. Room was tidy and clean but felt a little dated - rest of Hotel was great.
Overall pretty decent
A comfortable, clean, well situated hotel in gorgeous Heidelberg. Staff were great especially Dante at the front desk who could not be more helpful. Given COVID-19 challenges, the hotel provided a robust approach that gave confidence about how seriously they were taking this. It was the hottest time of the year when we visited and the one area the hotel can improve is investing in better quality air conditioning. Given we can expect hotter years ahead, it won't be wasted.
Very clean. Staff friendly. Close to public transport.
Comfortable hotel for Heidelberg city break, good breakfast
We’ve stopped here before and so knew what to expect and as always it was quiet and clean. This time though the air conditioning did not seem to be working. It seemed to be working slightly on one side of the building and not at all on the other, but this was resolved by the staff as they moved us rooms. It might be because it was really warm outside and rather than air con it is climate control as we’ve not noticed this before. The breakfast is still buffet and was good- very efficient apart from the lines for a coffee, but there is a suggestion of timings and when to avoid busier times at breakfast. Some guests not wearing masks at breakfast and queuing close to your table and trying to get into the elevator at the same time as you, but otherwise felt safe and happy with the stay and this is something that would be difficult for the staff to enforce. We would have liked the hotel bar to be open during our stay but can understand why it wasn’t.
The advertisement says free parking ... but in fact its 24 bucks a day ... the pictures only show the renovated rooms the reaming ones are kind of crappy ... old furniture cracks and dents in the sink, insulation lose in the bathroom. Consider yourself lucky if you get one of the newer rooms, the others are absolutely not worth the money ! Breakfast was good especially the taking the corona measures into account.
Just OK....generally tired...even the “new-style” rooms have old bathrooms and furniture and seem to just have new carpet and drapes. AC was lame but they did get us a fan.
