The room was spacious, well-equipped, and clean. I liked the on-site laundry facilities. The downside was that on-site parking was limited.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and the kitchen was very clean with lots of instructions on how to use the oven etc. Thoroughly recommend it.

A bit far way from the town.

Cleanliness and rooms were excellent value. The location is about a 20-25 minute walk from the city centre

10/10 Exceptional

I've never had such kind and friendly service in a hotel before. Esther, Ellen, Eric and really all the staff at reception desk were amazing. There are fancier places to stay, but this was clean and I've never had friendlier service. The service in the convenience store next door was a little less friendly and impersonal.

A great option for those who travel light. The bus to the center was reliable and inexpensive. Nice communal spaces to eat , work and relax.

The complex is awesome, very close to the city centre. Clean and tidy.

Terrible stay at Westwood Galway
The staff would not move us from our room, the room was dirty, stains on the sheets, and holes in the towel. Staff refused to provide refund upon checking out early. Do not stay here.

These rooms are university dorms, I believe, but if you’re popping into Galway for a day or two during the summer, they’re comfortable and well kept. Staff are friendly and attentive. Parking may be an issue if you’re driving but there’s a free lot that’s maybe a five minute walk from the hotel you can use. You’re definitely away from the town centre, but we drove in so that’s no problem. Grab an Uber and it’ll probably be something like €10 to get you downtown, not bad at all. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Uni accommodation: you get what you pay for
The room was next to a busy main road with no double glazing. Roadworks at night until 3am, asked to move room but was resisted. Furnishings cheap and uncomfortable.

this is a college dorm. my bad review is mostly in regards to the Expedia listing and it trying to make it seem like a hotel. the staff was very nice but I feel the listing is inaccurate. My wife and I are in our 30s and celebrating our anniversary in Ireland and staying at a college dorm room was probably the least romantic thing lolol.

Not a hotel at all - misleading
This place is not a hotel, it's some kind of student housing, in good condition but very tight rooms, no room cleaning, no restaurant and except for a convenient store on its premises, no restaurants nearby at all!
Sandra, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

kitchen tools were really dirty, especially the oven. our room had gathered so much dust that you could've picked it up with your hand. once a staff member barged in our room while we were naked, saying he mistook the rooms (he could've knocked lol) i had to ask for towels and toilet paper myself. the gate outside was broken and made a huge crashing sound whenever used (almost the whole day because obviously people enter and leave) and that was really noisy and bothersome. overall nice place but perhaps only for 2 days...
Patrick, 7-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice to have access to the amenities: study room, pool room, laundry room, kitchen, and spar next door. Our room faced a narrow alleyway between two residential buildings and was near the main entrance to the complex. The sound of people coming back from parties at all hours of the night was amplified by the tunnel effect and we were wakened up every night of our week-long stay. Try to ask for a room outside of that area.

*****NOT a HOTEL******** Please read the listing very carefully, this is not a hotel. To be fair, it never says it is a hotel, but if you're using an app, you sort of expect a hotel. This is student housing (dorms) rented out during the non-school time. It was clean and quiet. Not very spacious. You have a private bedroom and bathroom. There are common areas you also have access to. There is no AC. Bathroom and bedroom are very, very small. It suited our needs very well, but it wasn't a hotel.
