Small but comfortable hotel the HEART of Museums.
I would like to apologize to the Chris hotel for my earlier review. We got in after 22 hours of flying and misplaced luggage so I wasn't in the best frame of mind. We love the location of Chris hotel right in the museum district with easy access to all the big museums, local buses, trams and trains. A room was a little smaller than were used to but we were able to get a good night's rest. Fabulous breakfast every morning and when it was time for us to leave for a cruise. after 4 days in Amsterdam, the nightclerk Miranda guided us to a marketplace in the morning where my wife ( rather tall.) woman was able to find several outfits to replace all the ones lost by air Canada. The staff was extremely helpful. Chris, Miranda and Adrian all gave us good information about getting around.

Access to hotel is narrow and has stairs difficult to navigate with luggage. Also narrow hallways and doors with steps. Otherwise nice accommodations. Mattress very soft foam and low to ground. But room very quiet and bathroom nicely updated. People at desk very nice but couldn’t tell me where to catch an Uber car. Had to walk a couple blocks to place they have room to pick up.

There is more space in a Jan Vermeer painting.
The location afforded you good access to the major museums and points of interests in Amsterdam. This hotel had a lift and a friendly 24hr. desk. The hotel itself is a little “ tired” and in need of some remedial attention. Also, the same old problem, the room was too small for two people with luggage etc.

Lovely weekend break at the Krisotel
We had a great stay in this hotel. The check-in process was really easy as the hotel sent me an email the day before I arrived to speed up the process. We stayed in the quadruple room, the beds were very comfy and clean. The room had a safe, coffee machine and some hanging space. The showeroom was a little on the small side, but very clean and modern, it felt almost brand new. The hotel requires you to use your key card to enter the hotel which we thought was a great security feature. You can easily walk to all the main attractions from the hotel so it's the best of both worlds as there isn't too much noise directly outside the hotel. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that, but it was a lovely stay and I would return to this hotel.

The room I stayed in was a bit small even for a European Hotel. And it felt smaller since I was on the top floor and the roof sloped down on my ceiling, But it was comfortable enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was not much of a lobby, only the small breakfast room if you needed to sit. The hotel itself was a 10-15 min walk from most of the major tourist areas so it is a good location for exploring the city by foot.
