I stayed at the Seasons of Perth hotel for 7 nights in August 2023. The hotel is located in a central location in Perth, close to many tourist attractions. However, I was very disappointed with my stay.
The hotel building is over 50 years old and it shows. The rooms are small and cramped, and the furniture is old and dated. The walls are thin and you can hear noise from other rooms.
The housekeeping was also very poor. On the second day of my stay, housekeeping failed to close my door after cleaning my room. I went to reception to tell me how long my door was left open. They were not interested in helping me.
The mattress in my room was also very old and uncomfortable. The springs were poking through the mattress and it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.
The most outrageous thing was that the curtains and windows in my room would not shut properly. This meant that street noise and light poured into the room at night, making it very difficult to sleep.
I contacted four government departments in Western Australia to determine who monitors minimum standards for hotels. However, none of the departments have a regulatory requirement to monitor, inspect, or enforce any standards.
I would not recommend staying at the Seasons of Perth hotel. The hotel is old and outdated, the housekeeping is poor, and the rooms are uncomfortable. I would suggest staying at a different hotel in Perth.
I will be contacting Expedia to seek some sort of response and refund.
