Don't forget to wax your moustache
Hipster madness permeates the hoxton which is set in a lovely period property. Rooms are small but stylishly presented with an ecletic hipster theme evoking elements of dadaism with art deco motifs and bauhaus chic permeating throughout. Staff are friendly and service good but the yoghurt in a bag-on-the-door breakfast is a little alienating. Perhaps the only place I have evee felt self concious for being clean shaven.

As good as it gets
Incredible attention to detail Hip and design-forward without being pretentious Attentive but chilled staff Perfect location - a walk or bike from everything you need in Amsterdam

Now a fan of the Hoxton
I'm generally a little skeptical of hip, designer-type hotels as sometimes form seems more important than substance and the experience is not focused on comfort and functionality. Hoxton is not like that. It's no doubt cool but everything works so well - the room (I took the 28 sq ft one) is very spacious, the breakfast bag is practical for a light brekkie, the bathroom is huge, it has all the amenities you possibly need. The restaurant is pretty decent (the flat-iron chicken was awesome), they have a mini shop at reception which sells drinks, etc at street prices and the location is perfect - just between Dam Square (5 mins) and the museums (15 mins).

Stay was perfect, room view wasn't great.. requested canal view room however, sadly did not receive. Good quality service and room was immaculate. Room service was sufficient. We made great use of the photo booth, to create meaningful memories. Hotel bar was slightly expensive and we often struggled to get a seat. However our over all stay was great, would highly recommend this quirky hotel.

Lovely quirky hotel..kept spotlessly clean
Stayed at the hoxton for 3 nights just after new year. Hotel kept spotlessly clean. Very quirky. In a good location too. Breakfast bags were a very nice touch to wake up to.
