The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few meters away from the central station. Additionally, the staff was very kind, solved all my questions and the room was very clean. Price-quality was amazing and would love to stay there again because of the service.

The location was unbeatable, walking distance to most everything and to the train, which took us to the central station from the airport in minutes. No regrets about staying at van Gelder hotel, the staff massive friendly they always willing to support and make your stay comfortable. The hotel is tiny but clean, and its location is great (walkable ) near to central station, with many restaurants, coffee shops, coffee and shopping centres near.

The location was excellent for me didn't need to get a taxi as I was able to walk everywhere and trams just outside of hotel main train station is less than a 5 minute walk also bars and restaurants all around boat trips 1 minute walk from hotel staff very friendly and helpful i will be back

Good location. There is no mention of no elevator i was given a room on the top floor and had to climb a ridiculously steep and narrow sets of spiral stairs with all my luggage. The desk clerk helped me with my suitcase on my arrival and I carried my own bags down when I left. Never again

A no-frills hotel choice. Functional and good location. Very tight quarters, but so is everything in Amsterdam. The staff are helpful and friendly, and provide fresh towels and room cleaning everyday. Other tenants staying here can be noisy, but this is not hotel's fault. Overall good, and I would use again. Very affordable as well.

We had other booing at other hotel, but decided to add one more day stay in Amsterdam, so we booked this hotel for just one night. Staff are friendly. Room is spacious compared with the other hotel we stayed. It’s very clean and comfortable, even with tea kettle and tea bags. Location is great, walkable to all attractions. The only thing we didn’t like was the stairs, which are spiral and narrow. We stayed on the 4th floor. That was difficult to climb. We wished someone would help us with the luggage dragging up to 4th floor. Besides the stairs we were very happy with our stay.
