This is an older hotel, the external style is straight out of the 60s-70s. It's nice inside though: Not luxurious but spacious and clean rooms, good bedding, etc.
The hotel restaurant is a bit of only-if-you-need-it, in that the offerings are very basic, but the burgers and tacos were fine.
Probably the best thing is that it's directly adjacent to the river/lakefront walking and jogging trail, and it's only about a half mile's walk to get up to a nice little park area, with restaurants, etc inland from there. There's a lot more riverside park area to the south as well, that I didn't see this trip
(The major food scene area is apparently along sixth street, which would probably be a Lyft ride; I didn't get there this time but will make a point of it on the next trip.)
Overall, it's a good, fairly inexpensive place to say that's close to interesting areas, with a very nice path to walk or jog along.
