Great House in Great Location!
Moosie Chalet has everything you want in a vacation rental! Clean, well maintained, plenty of space, plenty of bathrooms, loads of amenities - fireplace, pool table, workout room, washer/dryer, etc. Short drive to main road with easy access to Canaan Resort and its amenities. Recommendation for future renters: check out the house before you do your shopping. Everyone, us included, must assume that there won't be anything in the house except the starter paper products and soap. You may not need to purchase dish or dishwasher detergent, salt & pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, etc. Shop-n-Save in Davis is close and has everything you need (especially if you fly to WV). During our visit (mid-Oct), many restaurants were only open Thursday-Sunday. However, Siriani's in Davis was open on our last night (Tues) and the food was delicious! We had perfect weather for riding the chairlift and hiking Bald Knob trail, hiking Seneca Rocks and visiting Spruce Knob. The drizzle during our visit to Blackwater Falls wasn't a showstopper. The one day it rained, we were lucky enough to get tickets on the New Tygart Flyer mountain rail. Moosie Chalet is the perfect place to stay for a summer visit, a ski trip or leaf peeping. You won't be sorry!

Stay at Moosie Chalet
The house was great - very comfortable and well-stocked in terms of kitchen cooking needs, garbage bags, TP, etc. The fridge was a teensy bit dirty when we arrived but easily wiped up. Also, while we didn’t use the basement that much - other than to do some laundry - we found it quite cold. Not sure how people would sleep down there. Admittedly we didn’t inquire so I am sure there is a fix. Overall, a great spot. We would definitely return.

Great Location and quite neighborhood
The location couldn’t be more perfect for our group. Hiking during the day and close to Davis to enjoy some of the local taprooms. Plenty of room for our entire group.

A wonderful getaway!
We stayed here as a family with my parents, sisters, and their significant others. It was great! The setup was perfect because every couple had their own bathroom and we stayed downstairs with our kids (3.5 & 6) so they had space too. The kitchen was laid out really nicely and the windows overlooking the mountains were gorgeous. The weather was rainy for part of the time so we were all able to hang out and play pool downstairs. The only reason I gave the neighborhood a 4 and not a 5 is that it was challenging to find at first. Once we found it, we were all set.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well maintained, clean, spacious cabin that was perfect for our two familues with 4 adults and 4 kids. Cabin gets cleaned professionally and has good quality linens. It was very within 15-20 minutes of traiks and attractions, and there is also a horse farm within 5 minutes. Only downsides: the property does not have a hot tub and the wifi never worked during our stay which was an issue as cell signal is not good in the area.

Beautiful house with all the amenities neeeded to spend a great weekend enjoying the area in winter. Very close to all the winter activities - skiing, tubing and sledding! We were warmly welcomed by the lovely folks at Landis and they made everything about our trip even easier. From the popcorn for the kids to the detailed intake packet. We had all the information we needed to get the most out of our weekend.

Great Property - Everything was perfect
We really enjoyed our stay and found ourselves commenting over and over about just how comfortable and inviting this house is. The house itself is very clean, well laid-out, and has everything you need. It's in a great location (especially if you're going to Canaan Valley), and Davis/Blackwater are only 10-15 minutes up the road. We will definitely be back. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze, great communication from the property manager. Excellent all around!

Summer Mountain Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful,immaculate and very roomy, Michaela from Landis Realty delivered a gas grill for us to use during our stay. This house is not on the ski slopes so you can see a lot of houses nearby,its in a subdivision. Timberline was closed ,but we rode the lift at Canaan and enjoyed it. Let me say she delivered the grill in the pouring rain!
