Visitors to Thasos (or Thassos) are treated to explorations of natural wonders, archaeological sites, religious landmarks as well as culinary delights. The deep blue water of the Aegean Sea surrounds it all, serving as a constant reminder that a pleasant swim is never far away. At the end of a busy day, travellers can visit the main hub at Limenas for shopping, dining and drinking until late.

Thasos is home to ancient and medieval history, with museums housing plenty of Ancient Greek sculpture and a monastery that was established over 800 years ago. You can even climb up to Ypsarion, the highest point on the island. While not as famous as the other Greek islands, Thasos is a hidden gem of the Aegean.
