Very nice place and location, staff were very helpful and friendly!! Only downside was the bed was horribly hard, couldn’t sleep. I like a firm bed, but it was very hard and uncomfortable.

Art Deco
It was like walking into Jay Gatsby's home. The vibe blended perfectly the mixed history of old warehouse district charm with mid-century/art deco decor. The rooms were comfortable, clean, simple and minimalist, which maximized the features of the building. Valet parking and check in were effortless, the staff pleasant, the bartenders quick and fun. When there, check out the old furniture store ie: Barnett's. Have coffee at the large table of the old furniture store surrounded by exposed brick, beautiful plants and art. Seaworthy's is a must dining experience. Since Katrina, New Orleans has gotten a bad wrap. There are pre-Katrina people that will never except what New Orleans has become since then, but the young crowd I witnessed at The Barnett, during the Jazz trio and afterward, shows that NOLA has become a city unto itself, embraced by a new and hopeful generation. There is no where like NOLA and I dare anyone to find another city that resembles old school European village anywhere in the US.

Just Okay
It was “eh”. Felt expensive for the quality of hotel, pictures obviously nicer than reality, but the flooring was torn up and the halls were in okay condition. Room was okay. The floors were cheap and the room itself was not worth ~$250/night. Parking is ~$56/night. Indifferent review, I’d look around to find a better bang for my buck before coming here again. Area is safe.

Awesome stay in the Big Easy
What a wonderful hotel! Rooftop patio is an absolute gem. They call it a rooftop pool but its more like a pool sized hottub. All the staff are so welcoming and nice and they have live performances by musicians and DJs that you can enjoy while at their bar, which has a whole lot of NOLA spunk to it. Our room had nice high ceilings and a very soft and comfortable king sized bed. Loved our stay and would love to stay again the next time we visit the Big Easy.

Nice Public Spaces
Nice public spaces - nice bar, restaurant and coffee shop. Nice views from roof top pool. The carpeting in the hallways is showing its age. The room had a very well stocked large refrigerator. Older style room with free standing wardrobe. The hotel has recently come under management by Hyatt and would expect they will make some upgrades to the guest accommodation space.
