Perfect in every way
Greatocation for access to all areas of Yellowstone. Room was spacious,.comfortable and the little fridge was handy. Coin operated laundry nearby too. Staff were friendly and helpful, had to wait to check-in due to being very busy, but all went smoothly.

Building was nice, view of woods, quiet, comfortable room, room was pretty clean. The biggest negative was the cafeteria. Limited options for a balanced dinner, and really not very good. The table next to us had several people dissatisfied with their meal as well. The only seats available were in the bar, so we were forced to order a drink in order to sit there.

Canyon Lodge-great location
The lodge is new and nicely located in the middle of the park. You can walk from your room to the rim of the canyon for great views of the Yellowstone River and the falls. Rooms have a refrigerator but no microwave. However the cafeteria nearby has one guests can use. Our visit was in mid-October so there was no crowd and the lodge was quiet with only a few guests.

Better to drive into the park
Very old, old cabins. Way to much money to stay here. You get a bed an shower and that is it. The windows do not lock and the heat system is terrible. Too hot or too cold. It would have been a tad bit better if you could sit outside the cabin but there are no chairs provided. It also would have been nice to go and sit by a fire at the dining areas as you cant have a fire anywhere. Not a great experience and I would never stay here again.

Our room was extremely noisy, next to the vending and ice machine. And it was at the end of the season, so food and drink options were extremely limited, which we knew before going.

The food is fast food quality. Salty, fried and made to encourage American obesity. For the price of rooms, food quality should have a healthy option

The hotel was great but you are basically captive for food choices and the cafeteria next door was horrible. How hard can it be to offer something decent?

A couple of the towels in our room were dirty. We also had to unplug the fridge since it made a loud noise. The coffee machine had a bad smell and that made the tea/coffee had a terrible taste
