Great getaway.
The hotel is in the heart of Taxco. The Santa Pisca Church is behind the hotel. Beautiful hotel clean suite with a nice bath tub and full shower. The split unit air conditioner worked wonders. They immediately greeted us upon arrival, offered valet service and Carrie four luggage to the room. The restaurant opens at 8am for breakfast which offers a variety of traditional Mexican breakfast and American choices. The restaurant has lunch l however it closes early at 6pm. There are a lot of rooftop and balcony restaurantswhidh offer a variety of options. Lots of shops, markets and some entertainment in the town square in front of the Santa Pisca Church. We love this quaint, cultural town. Lots is taxicabs which are very reasonable and inexpensive. We took a gondola ride up to the Monte Taxco Hotel and had lunch overlooking the beautiful town and city.

6/10 Good

Property is super clean and looks newly remodeled. I would never stay there again because they have a restaurant down stairs and all the smell goes up stairs to the rooms. You can also hear the telephone ringing because of the hotels layout. Never get a room with a balcony because you get all the noise from the street. Beautiful clean hotel and the restaurant is top notch!

Marvelous hotel with modern colonial chic decor. Stayed in the king suite with tub and the room blew us away. The bed was ridiculously comfortable, the shower was hot and strong, and the a/c was perfect. Also had brunch at the restaurant and the blue corn pancakes were delicious. This is were I’ll stay next time I am in Taxco. A

8/10 Very good

This was our first trip to Taxco, and we were pleased with our stay at William Hotel. We booked an upstairs "Panoramic View City View" room. I wouldn't necessarily describe the view as panoramic, as the hotel is located on a narrow street, but the small outdoor balcony was very enjoyable and allowed us to take in the varied street activities from a birds eye view, including several parades! The staff were very friendly but generally don't speak English. That said, it wasn't really a problem. We used Google translate on our phones to communicate. :-) The room and bathroom were both a little small, as was the bed. But the room was otherwise comfortable and quiet. They have a few inside larger rooms without any city views, but we're glad to have chosen the smaller room with a balcony. The hotel is very conveniently located to most everything you'd likely want to explore in Taxco. The Zocalo and market were just up the hill a few blocks away. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but other folks did and the food/presentation looked nice. We did however enjoy a few Bertas (local drink) on the upstairs patio while taking in the view. All in all I would highly recommend staying at the William Hotel in Taxco. The location is great and we were treated well.

4/10 Fair

There is no way this property should be 4 stars. I will start with the good parts, the staff was nice, a little slow (we had to wait an hour for keys to the room so we couldn’t leave and explore). We told them of the issues and they just said ok. Coffee was good. Now the bad; when we walked into the room the overwhelming smell of their signature spray almost knocked me over (I figured out why a little later). The room was extremely hot and the AC kept shutting off. I walked into the bathroom to put bags down and the sewer smell was so intense I had to walk out immediately to avoid vomiting. Imagine a hot room and the intense sewer smell because the bathroom door was shut and the guy that showed us the room sure didn’t open it to show us the bathroom. They knew they had the issue and still put us there. I had to open the door and let it air out anytime I needed to use the bathroom. Thank goodness it was only one night we paid for because we wouldn’t have stayed longer. Also they thing it’s a nightclub and not a hotel?? Music blasting and they way the hotel is set up your windows face the lobby so bright lights shine in all night and the music played until 11pm. I wouldn’t stay on a weekend because I’m sure it would be worse. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. They have a lot of things they need to work on. I understand you smell sewer in Mexico sometimes, I’ve been coming to Mexico for over 20 years but this was the worst! A small tiny bathroom with no air circulating.

8/10 Very good

This is a very cute quaint hotel. Very clean, comfy beds, staff is great, location is great! bathroom very small, shower good size. We opted for a room towards the street w/balcony, very loud! Although by 10pm it was quite. The Hotel is 3 stories no elevator, it’s like an atrium in the middle, you could see the restaurant from outside our room door. At night it was very loud, the echo was huge, don’t know if it was customers but do know that several times it was the night employees talking n laughing, noise rises, one night they were loud until 12:45am n started up again @1:30am restaurant n bar closes @11pm. For this reason only, we would not stay there again.

Exceptional service
The hotel is beautiful, the food amazing and the service really stands out, lots of litle details that make it an amazing experience. The rooms are a bit small and it does get noisy given the amazing location, right in the middle of everything, but the beds are amazing and they provide earplugs to sleep.

Perfect stay!
My stay at Hotel William was absolutely perfect. The location was central to everything, and I enjoyed how easy it was to come back in the middle of the day to rest my feet in my air conditioned room after all the hills. The room was small but sparkling clean, and the shower was hot. I had a balcony room on the top floor and I loved the view, but know it may not be great for light sleepers due to street noise (which was especially loud on a Saturday night). I asked the front desk for ear plugs and they promptly brought me some, along with a little nighttime snack. Everyone working at the hotel was so helpful and friendly, and I felt very safe as a solo traveler! My only disappointment was that the rooftop terrace area—the tables and chairs were never set up to let anyone enjoy the space, and there were no cushions on the couches by the bar either. That said, the breakfast downstairs was fairly priced and yummy! Oh, and they give you a little welcome gift too… I won’t spoil what it is, but I’ll just say it was also delicious ;) I will 100% book Hotel William again when I return to Taxco!

Very nice hotel but room is a bit small, such a shame they don't have windows or balcony, we stay at their other hotel next door which is a bit cheaper but a lot cuter . I guess this one is a newer hotel .
