My husband and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary at the Majestic Colonial Club. We were totally impressed with this resort from the entertainment, food, activities and just being able to enjoy the relaxation of being at the ocean and the amazing swimming pools that this resort has to offer. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The rooms in the colonial club were absolutely perfect and the ground floor rooms have direct access from your room into the swimming pool, pool bar and jacuzzi. Would highly recommend this resort.

Sick 6 out of 7 days I was there. Must of caught food poisoning and ended up in bed sick throwing up and the runs instead of enjoying the vacation. Same food items without accommodating picky eaters ( my kids ) the food tasted like what they cooked on the grill for lunch. They need to do better with cleaning the grill for the meats. The only really good food was the habachi night. I do not recommend staying here there’s many other great hotels in Punta Cana.

We had a great time with the family . The reason I am giving this a really low score. Two of my family members and I had the same dish at the Taino restaurant the night before leaving and the following day we was really sick . Everyone else is fine . We have been hospitalized in the USA. We tested positive for Salamella. This is day 5 and we are still really bad in the hospital. I know there is always a risk of getting food poisoning . However, for an almost 5 star hotel there has to be better precautious with food handling. We have been to Punta Cana before and other hotels and this has never happen . First and last time in this hotel . ❌

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful, easy walking, beach well maintained, many bar areas with decent liquor options, and clean, never saw a single insect. The food, however, we found to be just okay. Nothing stood out to us. One thing we personally did not like was the room accommodations as they could use some updating. No privacy with bathroom, sinks were in the open, shower was behind one door and toilet behind another, which was a very tight space. The bed linens consisted of a sheet and a worn thin fleece blanket, not our preference. We also found many staff members did not speak English, making it difficult to communicate.
