Centrally located hotel with great service
During a family trip to Germany we stayed at the Platzl twice while transiting through Munich. The location is exceptional. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and Marienplatz. We chose the hotel on friend's recommendation and proximity to the Christmas markets. Our first weekend we had a twin standard room. The room was clean, comfortable, small and minimal amenities. The street noise from the bars and restaurants during holiday season was intolerable and on our 2nd night didn't quiet down till 3am. On checkout I spoke with the front desk about my concern for when we returned in one week. The front desk were staff kind, responsive and assured me we would be addressed when we returned. I chose not to cancel and rebook eleswhere and I am so glad we didn't. Our return visit was in a twin suite on a quieter side of the hotel. The room had many extras including pillow selection service, Nespresso coffee maker and it was signficantly quieter. The hotel staff were all very wonderful and guest focused. I definitely recommend the Platzl and will be our go-to hotel on return.

Christmas Markets and Krampus!
We stayed her twice in November 2024 while visiting the Christmas Markets and seeing/hearing Krampus. Both times we felt taken care of and valued. The hotel has a great location and is well maintained. We could not be happier with this experience.

Check- in was chaotic with horrible valet parking. The hotel was difficult to get to by car with no where to stop to get bags from the car. Hotels.com lost one of the three reservations but the hotel did a good job compensating for the issue.

Everything Was Great.
The service at the hotel, especially the front desk, was outstanding. My first day I arrived at about 11:30 am, due to the flight arrival time, but they allowed me to check in early. And throughout my visit, the front desk personnel assisted with train tickets and arranging a tour for me. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was on the small side, but it was just me and my trip wasn't about staying in the room so I didn't need a lot of space. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and - unlike most hotels in the US - there was housekeeping service every day. The hotel is centrally located to everything and just a couple of blocks from a train station. Overall, I could not have been more pleased with my stay and experience with the Platzl Hotel.
