Wander cobblestone streets lined with pink quarry stone buildings and ornate baroque churches. Savour local specialities like carnitas and corundas while listening to traditional Purépecha music in Plaza de Armas.
Morelia is called the "Princess of pink stone". It was built by Spaniards in the 16th century. The downtown buildings are made out of this unique stone. Morelia has one of the most beautiful and impressive cathedrals in the world. It's very romantic.

I grew up in Morelia, I love the city, I enjoy strolling around the city center & spending time drinking coffee at Cafe Europa, in front of the beautiful cathedral, it was my father's favorite place, and I feel his presence when I'm there.

Found it to be safe and more fun than I expected. Haven't been here since 2003 so I enjoyed it.
"Location, location, location. Great location, and for the price, had a wonderful time. Room was average, but the hotel itself is beautiful. Had a great time, and would definitely book again. "
