Hotiday Room Collection - Golfo Aranci
8/10 Good
"Hotel is very decent. The restaurant is a bit of rip off if you have kids then I suggest you avoid it. Views are nice pool is nice. People are friendly. Getting around positano is definitely a pain but there is a bus stop thats right in front of your hotel. Breakfast is very decent scrambled eggs sausage pastries desserts yogurt that kind of stuff. Price is good. We did have some ants in the room near the door not the biggest deal they're probably everywhere."
"Giovanni's place was beyond my expectation. Very easy to find and reach with a car. Close to a lot of lovely towns and beaches, e.g. Golfo Aranci & Olbia, beach Marinella and Pittsburgh. The place is on top of a hill overlooking the amazing nature. So tranquil...a cup of tea and a book on the terrace was a lovely part of this trip. The room was very clean and spacious like the pictures and even more. Giovanni was very helpful with every extra bit I needed, e.g. kettle, plate and cups etc. He also let me use his kitchen to cut a watermelon....I will surely stay there again and would highly recommend it to everyone."
"Absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff are so friendly and warm. Particular thanks to Alessio who helped us speak to the airport when our bags had been lost and Barbara and Damiano in the restaurant were so lovely and helped us learn some more Italian.
The rooms are big, very clean, so cool and comfortable.
The staff were fantastic and the food great. Buffet breakfast was fab, as was the buffet dinner. Lunch is a la carte and kind of expensive for lunch but Sardinia is quite expensive, so it’s all relative.
There is a path from the hotel to the beach which is beautiful and some sun loungers and parasols reserved for Hotel Marana (you just need tickets from reception) there are some nice beach bars but seem to only open in the day. There is a restaurant open in the evenings, Marinella, which is beautiful but very expensive. We were about to order the lobster tagliatelle which said €35 on the menu, but it was €35 per 100g and weighed 800g so it would have been €280 each for a plate of pasta which is a bit out of budget, ha! The cheapest bottle on the wine list is €70, lovely, but just be aware!
The hotel is peaceful and the other guests were all really nice and polite and considerate. Taxis are limited and so expensive. You can walk to Punta Marana to eat but other than that need a taxi or the train from opposite the hotel but they stop at 6.30pm. Visit Porto Rotondo. It’s fabulous. "
"It was an amazing stay. We were scared about some of the bad reviews but it was totally the opposite. Every staff were nice and treated us really well. "
"Situated between Olbia and Golfo,so transport needed, however there are beaches in easy walking. Management and staff exceptional. Stress free holiday. "
