"Fabulous stay. The swimming pool was an absolutely wonderful space for everyone whilst we stayed with you. We loved the family room we were in which had two huge beds and lots of space for the kids to enjoy playing "
"Our first time in an olde English castle. It was a real treat. We had a castle feature room with a large and very comfortable bed. The feature was a bathroom in the wardobe ( I kid ye not ) It was very clean and tidy. The floorboards creaked a bit but this is a castle built in 14C so we can excuse that. There was a heat wave when we arrived and the dark cool interior was very welcome. The library bar is cozy with very attentive staff. The Knight's restaurant was much bigger and the food was very well presented and tasty. Again, the staff were attentive without being overbearing. We got a nice wedding anniversary presentation after dessert which was a good touch. Breakfast was in the Knight's restaurant. The breakfast fixed menu was extensive and at £25 a pop a bit expensive too. However, a lot to choose from - you won't leave hungry and that's a fact! Again, very attentive staff. A couple of gripes, they are minor but nevertheless we couldn't understand it. 1st night we got a complimentary bottle of water each but no more after that. £2.50 for a cappaccino on top of a breakfast fixed price of £25 seemed a bit mean to me.Could do with a couple of hooks in the bathroom for removed clothes, hang the bathrobe while showering etc. These are all very minor points and didn't detract from the experience of staying in a real castle, with grand decor and a grand history, attentive and friendly staff, great grub too. Expensive but you get good bang for your buck. "
"Very nice property. sorrounded by nice golf courses and conveniently located near the city center. The bar and steak house are worth a try. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is beyond friendly and attentive."
