Nottingham City Centre

Nottingham City Centre serves up a triple threat of history, entertainment, and shopping all within strolling distance. Explore medieval caves tucked beneath bustling streets, climb up to Nottingham Castle for city views, or catch a show at Theatre Royal. Market Square buzzes with street performers while the Victorian Lace Market charms with its red-brick buildings and indie shops. Getting around couldn't be easier with Nottingham Station just a five-minute walk away and trams connecting major spots. From traditional pubs serving local ales to international restaurants in Hockley, food options cover all tastes. Boutique hotels in converted Victorian buildings offer historic charm with modern comforts.

The tree-lined streets showcase attractive Victorian and Edwardian homes that give you a taste of authentic English suburban living. Central Avenue buzzes with independent boutiques, cosy coffeehouses, and family-friendly restaurants serving traditional British fare. Comfortable B&Bs in converted family homes provide a personal touch for overnight stays. "Great location, I’ve stayed here many times over the past few years. Hotel offers free car parking. And great views of Jubilee Campus. The Flexi card (to access the room using my phone) didn’t work. So I had to get a physical card. But other than that - a straightforward visit. Sometimes noise from the atrium did echo around the building - but it wasn’t a huge problem"

"Generally an OK stay. But for the price would expect more. Room was clean and spacious, however sound proofing is needed. It was like staying in someone’s home, you could hear everyone outside and above the room. The pool/steam/sauna and changing rooms felt unclean and cold. definitely needs updating. This duration allows you to explore notable landmarks such as the historic castle, the vibrant university area, and the lively theatre scene. Visitors can also enjoy budget-friendly shopping and entertainment options, as well as the welcoming atmosphere created by friendly locals.
