The inside is bland and utilitarian, like walking into an apartment building, not a hotel. The front desk is on the second level. No welcoming greeting from the staff. We paid the tax and were given a key. There was no mini fridge and were told by another staff member none of the rooms had them, however our friend’s room did. A sign in the room said they offered a continental breakfast but when asked about it he said no breakfast. It’s a room with a bed and bathroom. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. The room was clean but the hallway had dirty glasses in it and some other debris. Upon check out we turned in the sign advertising their continental breakfast as they may want to remove it from the room. The man offered breakfast at their sister hotel a block away which should have been mentioned beforehand. We checked out of our prepaid room and went downstairs to wait and the man ran downstairs calling out that we didn’t pay and demanded we come up to look at his record. I had the receipt showing we paid and had to physically point out my name on his record showing we paid but he kept saying the room number we were in was not paid for. I had to explain to him a few times that the man on the desk who checked us in gave us the key to our room, we had no control over the room he assigned and it clearly shows paid next to my name on his records. He had difficulty understanding they mixed up our rooms and our friends who stayed in the other room had to pay not us.
