The views from the top floor terrace were great!!!!
Lovely family owned riad with a good feel to it. Best breakfast we had during our stay in Morocco with very kind and accommodating staff. Spacious rooms with a cool traditional shower style.
The location was excellent if you want to stay in the heart of the Medina. The staff was helpful when asked. The amenities adequate.
Clean property with beautiful views from the rooftop terrace, good beds, polite staff. Difficult to find in the medina. Rooftop breakfast swarmed by bees. All three days, the bedroom had a faint sewer smell, and the toilet leaked. Close quarters, so it was noisy at times, from inside guests and outside arguments in the medina.
The only thing good about our stay was the location. Otherwise I would pay extra and go elsewhere. Room was way too small. The only way to get into bed was to climb into it from bottome. No room for bedside tables. Bathroom smelt and was tiny.
The description says the room comes with amenities like soap or shampoo but our room did not have any. The AC worked but wouldn’t change in power like low or high. It just stayed on high
I liked the location and the cleanliness. The service from most of the staff was terrible. Bad attitudes, no follow-through. One lady however, went above and beyond to make up for her co-workers. We needed to leave early the next morning and she left out breakfast for us for our journey even though breakfast didn't technically begin until 8:30AM. She also brought us an extra sheet when we asked her after hours went by and her coworker said he would o it and sat on his phone instead in the lobby.
I do not understand all the hype about the Riads in Morocco. They all have no elevators which is hard with luggage, they lock their outside doors which makes it hard for customers to come back for a break during the day and all of them have bad plumbing, in all the Riads I stayed in in Morocco ( total 3) the showers did not drain, one of the room almost flooded. I would stay in a regular hotel if I have to go again
The place felt cramped. Hard to sleep at night, kids making noise in the streets until 1 or 2 am.
Shower not clean. Toilet broken. Water burning or very cold, nothing in the middle. Very basic. Unfortunately not many great hotels in chefchaouan.
