In general we found the accommodation, food and service to be of a high quality. However, occasionally the staff was overstretched, resulting in slow service.
The hotel is ski-in/ski-out as stated, despite being on the fringes of Val Thorens; it is the first hotel you pass as you enter the resort by road. We thought that this location would ensure undisturbed sleep for all the family, as we were well away from the local nightlife; but our room overlooked the busy Grand Rue that is the main road leading into the town and we were woken very early every morning by the noise of heavy grit lorries, diggers and coaches driving back and forth.
The food at breakfast and dinner is of a fairly high quality but the choice is quite limited, particularly after a week of dining from the same menu.
The swimming pool is disappointingly small, with no proper changing facilities; on the other hand the spa is quite good and has a range of treatments on offer.
I would recommend this hotel, but it seemed a little overpriced in my opinion, notwithstanding that it is in one of the world's most popular ski destinations.
