Really awful. Some big Muslim event was going on in the neighborhood, and there was a guy droning on over loudspeakers for 13 hours each day.
Room has no tea, no bottled water, couch but no chair, minimal hot water, apparently no insulation against sounds inside and outside hotel, toilet doesn't always work well.
There is nowhere even barely passable to eat outside the hotel unless you walk down to the nearest main road, and see one restaurant if you turn right.
The "Royal View" is that you can see the Jal Mahal from the hotel rooftop, but otherwise, the views are nothing and there is certainly nothing royal about the hotel other than price for a car to the airport.....
When I needed to get a morning flight, I asked the hotel to arrange a taxi since there were none in the neighborhood that early. (The street is extremely light on taxis and tuk-tuks.) They charged me 800 rupees and tried to give me reasons why 800 rupees for an airport taxi is appropriate and necessary; of course I had paid only 1/3rd as much to get from the airport to the hotel.
I got a cheap rate on the room, but it was still not worth it. I would have gladly paid double the price for an acceptable hotel in Jaipur.
