imperial not so imperial
It was bad there was a leak in bathroom the tub from upstairs leaked everynight the window was broken, the room was pretty old and falling apart. The staff some ok the 5am guy a rude piece of trash. Then there are the surprise costs and yes they do throw in extra charges and dont honor the hotels.com price that is why i would suggest to go elsewhere because i read it here and it happened to me too, then they state they will help you get a taxi but the guy in the front did not help us and they violently asked me to pay an extra charge but it was not on the first day i checked in. no vale la pena roban porque parece una buena oferta pero el ultimo dia violentamente con mi familia cuando necesitaba un auto para ir al aeropuerto el empleado me dijo que devia mas dinero y ya avia el primer dia confirmado que no tenia que pagar nada mas que el precio de hotels.com y no me llamo el auto para el aeropuerto hasta que pagara y yo estava con ancianos y ya esta poniendose tarde pague y el hijo de tio dijo que llamo al auto pero nunca lo iso porque nunca llego el auto yo tuve que ir a parar autos hasta que uno me llevo por $60 a el aeropuerto y si no el maldito no le importo si perdia el vuelo se vengo por que no quise pagar el extra costo.

A block from the sea, 2 blocks from the US Embassy, the Imperial is an older property but very pleasant. The cocktail bar on the first floor is one of the 50 top craft cocktail bars in the world according to the awards in the lobby, and staffed by an amazing group of showmen/professionals. Over all I was very happy to stay at this property.

Horrible experience
The worst place I've ever seen or been too. The showers were filthy. They didn't honor their advertisement of providing shuttles from the airport to the hotel. Hotel is dirty and not family friendly at all. Will never stay here again. Don't even consider this place.

Better than I expected!
I was almost deterred from staying at the hotel when I read the negative reviews online, but on arriving I was pleasantly surprised. There was a spacious balcony (which I didn't get in a 5-star hotel I also stayed in while in the city) and great music pumping out from a nearby building. (Don't worry, it's all over by 11 and the windows are sound-proofed, cancelling out sound if you don't want to hear it). The room was clean, the location was excellent and although it wasn't flash and luxurious, this is probably the best you can get for the price category - totally acceptable for a stay.
