I don't want you to be another victim. I didn't check in here even though I didn't get a refund. 1. This is fake rent. If you go to 20 Somner Avenue, someone will contact you privately and guide you to another place. (This is not a hotel or clean guesthouse at all.) 2. The place I arrived at was really dirty, full of stuff, shoes, and suitcases of strangers (I still don’t know where those came from), and the guide just ignored my complaints. Furthermore, the owner of this place is really rude and will ignore all your complaints, making you a victim like me. 3. If you want to share this dirty and used room with strangers, you can go, but I booked another hotel without checking in here. 4. This was the best terrible experience in my entire life. Fake room, fake information, dirty and shared place, rude owner, no refund. Please believe me and save your budget.

Do not book this property--very scammy. Would rate ZERO STARS. As instructed we called 48 hours out and were told the door code would be sent the morning we were checking in. No contact on check in day, no response to text two hours out. Finally reached someone when we got to NY only to be asked to Venmo more money to receive the instructions and correct address. When I refused to pay before seeing the space, he promised check in info in 10 minutes and then was unreachable by both us and Expedia for the rest of the night. Expedia left us entirely on our own to find other arrangements and after promising to get back to us in 72 hours (!) stopped responding in the chat. Will never book this sort of private property via Expedia again. Terrible customer service and no vetting of this property. To Expedia's credit, they did refund us promptly.

Just awful, DON’T STAY HERE!!!
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! By far the worst experience I’ve had on Hotels.com. These guys are scam artist slumlord airbnb guys, and my whole experience with the hosts and the Hotels.com was awful. When I booked it was a new listing with no reviews, so I took a chance. The pictures looked good and I like the neighborhood. But when I was leaving for my trip I checked the listing and saw that they had double booked someone and had refused to give them a refund. When I hadn’t been sent my check-in information the day before i was leaving, I called the property and one of the guys was super rude to me. It didn’t feel good, so I tried to cancel and get a refund, but they wouldn’t budge. Hotels.com refused to help me too, despite the fact that the property was not following any kind of standard protocol that I’ve experience on any rental app. By the time I landed in NY, I still hadn’t received the address of the property or check-in instructions. Spending the first hour of my trip in the airport on the phone begging Hotels.com agents to help me wasn’t fun. Be warned, they will not treat you well. The apartment is super run-down, and not very clean. Not enough towels. I’ve stayed at a wide variety of airbnb’s in NY and this one was the worst by a mile. Don’t stay here!!!

Property is in need of updating. They enter your room when you’re out. The (two) rooms I rented were doubled booked. This left my son and I without accommodations for the night in NY. I was inconvenienced and Im still waiting for my refund and it’s been two weeks since my booking. All I’m getting is the run around and excuses.
