Great place to stay when visiting Cradle Mountain
We stayed 3 nights. Buffet Breakfast was included and catered for all tastes and food types. The hotel had numerous of the Cradle Mountain walks starting near their reception as well as the shuttle bus to Ronnie Creek and Dove Lake being just over the road. They had the Highlander restaurant or the bar and bistro to eat at. The food was really great. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend staying at Peppers Cradle Mountain

8/10 Very good

Room was very comfortable , nice and warm on arrival. Downside no WiFi in room. We ate in the Tavern Bar which we felt better value than restaurant. Breakfast choice was good but cooked food should be better quality. Very helpful staff who gave advice on what we should do in the time we had. Walk around Dove Lake - brilliant.

Not the best
Was shocked there was no tv in the cabin. Went and got pizza for dinner and ended up very sick. Assuming food poisoning. Was the worst night of my life and our romantic get away turned into a nightmare . The cabin was cosy but as i vomitted all night and my partner had to listen it wasnt a pleasant stay. Could of stayed down the road 17klm and had a tv , kitchenette , lounge etc. For over half the price.

Very expensive for what we experienced. We were not sure if we could drink the water in the room. Beautiful location but the price we felt was beyond justifiable

Absolutely perfect weekend at Peppers. We stayed in the Pencil Pine unit which overlooked the main reception area and the lake. It snowed over the weekend making even better. The shuttles to Dove Lake were closed due to the snow but it was still great. Heaps of great walking tracks around the resort. Dinner in the tavern was amazing. Would definately stay there again. Staff were great too. Cannot fault the whole weekend.

Our chicken wings and then the schnitzel was burnt. Font of house Remi was very good trying to fix this and she picked up that I had not gotten the sauce I ordered with my steak. The property was very clean and staff nice. Beautiful area.

Magical stay in a remote lodge
Wonderful stay at Peppers. We stayed two nights at last minute and we were checked in quickly by staff and a spare bed made up for our child each time. I am writing this review as I read some other reviews that were less than favourable and nearly didn’t stay for this reason. Do not let this deter you, however, have reasonable expectations. This is a remote lodge in the wilderness, this is what you’re paying for. It is not a five star retreat. The location could not be better, the staff are attentive and helpful and the cabins were toasty warm. We did one cabin with the gas log fire and another with the combustion fire. Both were great. We ate dinner twice at the lodge, the service was fast and efficient and meals decent. Breakfast was basic, we loved watching the snow fall from the window. We had a brilliant time at Peppers and look forward to coming back one day - it all made for a very magical Cradle Mountain experience. Thank you! Ps - if booking last minute, far better rates online.

Ambiance of the environment was fabulous. The Highland Restaurant was expensive - $249 for a two course meal for a couple. Food was cold and the service was rushed. Not enough explanation given about the menu at the beginning of the evening. Buffet breakfast was brilliant- food and service. The Spa was understaffed, lacked the expected finesse and also expensive. Rooms were warm, cosy and well maintained. Service roads badly need resurfacing. No WiFi in the cabins or lodge.

Beautiful part of the world
Absolutely beautiful location and surroundings. I wish i had known that certain things weren't available during the time there before arriving—i would not have changed my plans but it would have given me time to plan my days or find other arrangements. The staff at reception were somewhat lacking in their knowledge and I didn't feel like they knew much about the area. Perhaps before staying in winter check to see if their hot water, laundry and various other things are functioning and accessible.

Very well situated, right by the National Park with several shorter walks commencing from the hotel grounds. The cabin was very comfortable, a good bed and gas fire worked a treat on frosty mornings. Cradle Mountain is super special. I was less impressed by the Lodge's common areas - they felt crowded. The food offerings were not great value - we had better experiences eating elsewhere.

Awesome location with plenty of local hikes around the facility. Close to the bus to get into Cradle Mountain for longer hikes and access to Dove Lake. The bistro and bar area was very relaxing with plenty of options. The breakfast buffet hot food options could be improved but the lunch and dinner was excellent. The food was very good and the sticky date dessert is to die for. Plenty of wildlife in the area just going about their business. The staff were all super friendly and helpful which make the stay even better. Can’t wait to come back.
