My actual rating is 3-1/2 stars. The room that I had at the inn was nice for the rate that I was paying. I was not aware that the inn offers extended/long-term stay options as well. However, had I known, that would not have had a bearing on my decision to book my stay there. I just think it is a good idea to be transparent when leaving reviews.
I was told by one of the staff that the new owners took over approximately a year ago. This review was written in October 2024. I was also told that 10 of the 58 rooms have been renovated. The plan is to eventually renovate all of the rooms to look similar to the one that I had. I had one of the recently renovated rooms. Following are some notes that may help you (the reader) make a decision about booking your stay there.
LOCATION: The location is good. The inn is not far from the 55 expressway. The inn is approximately 45 minutes from Chinatown, Maxwell St. and Greektown. It also took me 45-50 minutes to get to the Northwest side of town by taking the 55 to the 90/94 expressways.
For incidentals, snacks and general food items, there is a Dollar Tree, a Walmart, and a grocery store nearby on Harlem Ave.
DINING OPTIONS: There are numerous local restaurants in the area (both take out, as well as dine-in).
STAFF: The staff was friendly and accomodating. The staff tries to make your stay as comfortable, and as pleasant as possible.
PARKING: There is ample and easy parking on the premises.
