Modernized, but still had the charm and integrity with the buildings history. Steep steps, but we needed the workout. I loved it. Big rooms. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

Was a little noisy from the traffic and church bells. T Room heater really didn’t get that warm. Need black out curtains cause too much light comes in from outside. I did enjoy the stay.

We got there and our room 11 was hot. The temp showed 75. I turned the air down and we left to go to shops. About 1-1/2 hours later we returned to find the room still extremely hot at 75. I called the cell phone number for the hotel. The rep said the person that stayed in the room previously complained about the AC not working, but thought they had it fixed. He said he would call back with a solution. About 5 minutes later, he called and told me they were changing us to a different room and gave instructions on how to get the key. I’m glad they had another room available to move us to.

This hotel was amazing! The staff were all top notch and attentive. I ended up sick during my stay and Lori the manager went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. Room was clean and had nice touches to it. Perfect location! Can’t wait to stay here again!!

Great location for the Murphy Arts Center. Adequate dining options. One curious note, the photo of the covered patio has NOTHING to do with the property.... not to be found anywhere, I could see.

Nice & Easy late check in, breakfast was good, linens were Crisp White, bed was very comfortable and room was very spacious. This is a old renovated building downtown, lots of stairs to climb and a little hike to room from parking area but would definitely stay again. Only concern was mold around bathroom ceiling vent and headboard was extremely dusty. Overall excellent place to stay.

The room itself was very charming, clean, and comfortable once we found it. We had received a message about where to find our keys and where the room was, but I'm not from El Dorado and didn't know the reference points, so we walked the whole square trying to find our room. The stairs weren't bad the first 2 times we had to scale them, but got tiresome after a while. The room got nice and cold quickly, and again, was super charming and pretty comfy for the price. Breakfast at Off the Rails was excellent. Overall, I'd definitely stay again, especially now that I'm familiar with how it is set up.
