Stayed in a bungalow with a private pool (small), pleasant design though not particularly luxurious. Amazing garden/plantation and great location. Personally found it difficult to sleep with all the noise from the rainforest, but not a problem for my wife. Also the room became a bit cold during a rainy and windy night as shutters didn’t seem to work. Maintenance/cleanliness could be improved for the price, e.g. things like rusty fridge door, loose shower head, dirty light switches, etc.

Traveling during pandemic we were mindful to reduce contact with others - perfect for the deck and plunge pool at our hilltop cottage, peaceful & relaxing. Comfortable beds. Friendly front desk but you deal with many people so open to error/miscommunication. They misinformed us of PCR testing availability for our flight home, leading to stressful last day where the public nurse went above & beyond to help us make sure we had it to get on our flight (after telling us we were misinformed). Housekeeping is a bit of a miss…after they delivered fresh towels the one day, they left the dirty ones on the deck where they stayed for two more days. We didn’t want housekeeping in the cottage during our stay to reduce any possible COVID exposure to them and us so clean towels were all we requested. The steps leading up to it need serious maintenance - the toe of my sandal caught on one of the ridges going in the dark for our Christmas dinner and I fell several steps. I had only some serious bruising and scrapes so didn’t bother reporting to the front desk. Additionally, there is a crazy half step in brick at the end that if you’re not mindful of, you miss it. The restaurant isn’t terribly allergy friendly. After the third meal that gluten showed up on my plate after going into great detail the need to avoid anything containing gluten, we cancelled our meal plan and told the front desk why. They helped reserve us at other resort (Ladera and Chocolat) restaurants for meals.

A truly unique stay on a plantation in rustic vintage wooden cottage with outdoor shower, (one bed with AC) based in lush rain forest with fruit trees and flowers plus a cockerell or two. The staff and owners are charming, friendly and helpful. An informal stay, great food locally sourced. (If less able request a lower level cottage). Recommended.

Very unique property nestled in an amazing plantation. A few highly recommend to-dos is the onsite rainforest trial with a great view of the petite piton, and the plantation tour was fantasic (ask for Silvanas), and the shuttle ride to the beach is a must do( the driver Eernie is great). Also did the Tet Paul trail which was great (10min drive from property), and of course the sulfer mud bad was great (do the private tour that the hotel offers (ask for Shawn), and do it early before the crowds come in from the large tour groups. The pool area is stunning, the open shower is unbelievable, front counter staff was extremely helpful in booking accommodations. Highly recommend staying here.

The plantation is wonderful, cabins surrounded by rubber trees, banana, cocoa and flowers fantastic Although there isn’t much sun for sunbathing, the forests keep it quite cool We had an issue it’s a leaking cistern on the toilet all night (we only stayed one night) I had hoped that they would have comp’ed the lunch we had or at least some drinks to apologise, but no 😢 It soured my view somewhat, I was also disappointed not to be able to contact anyone at 6am as I wanted more towels!

We loved our stay! The resort is located in a lush, tropical cocoa plantation featuring a fasscinating flora and fauna. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. However, due to COVID19 there are many restrictions and limitations, e.g. beaches are either closed or not easily accesible. Also, economic restrains and shortage of trained employees have put a break on the hotel's maintenance and service capabilities. Things are starting to break, paint peels, there are not enough towels, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much, anyway, but as long as this situation continues, don't expect things to work perfectly!
