It was an easy drive from the airport. It was a great place to relax after a long…
There must be fleas in the rooms. I left with lots of bug bites on my legs and feet

The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet resort. Good restaurant and 2 bars on site, great beach front. Bicycle, kayaks and paddle boards all available on loan for free for guests - really enjoyed biking around the village! I liked the quiet location as there was so much wildlife and birds to see at that end of the village.
The living accommodations are quite nice and the staff is friendly. The beach and pools are clean. The restaurant is ok. Everything is quite pricey - particularly because of a 10% service fee that is added to all expenses incurred. The reception area is totally underwhelming.
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Pablo was a great guide for birdwatching and Jaguar preserve hike. Overall the property is well designed and maintained. Belize is pretty buggy, so you’ll need Deep Woods Off. The drawbacks are already baked into the price, so it’s a good value. Give yourself extra time to clear customs if more than one plane lands in Belize City at a time. Airport is small and they don’t have enough agents to process a rush. God discount destination!
Wonderful Beach front location, large rooms, lovely pools and great staff.
Service people... One of us was sick and had tomy aches.... The supervisor took care of her and provide help as needed
Very quiet, even though it was full, it was liking having the beach and pools to yourself. Staff ensured you were looked after and everything was great! The bad. Rooms are not very sound proof so if you had disrespectful neighbors this could be an issue. The entrance and office need some work, as it doesn’t present itself very well. Then once your in the resort it’s beautiful
Don’t be fooled by the sight of the reception area! Hopkins Bay Resort is beautiful with ocean views that will blow your mind! Just a warning though- if you have sweet blood- bring insect repellent!!!
It was perfect and the staff was super helpful. We got the room we wanted
As advertised you get an entire floor to yourself. I recommend booking this place if you’re in a group, family or with a significant other. Overall it’s a key location when attempting to reach inland and south of the country.
AS a family we took an entire villa over Christmas. Incredibly expensive and certainly not worth the price. A lot of money has been poured into the accommodations and the landscaping. However our appliances were old, the bathroom floor was missing large chunks of grouting, and the doors did not shut properly allowing san flies to enter and torment us. NO money was spent on the reception area comes as it is a shack. there are no sailboats or motorized watersports. The offered tours are excellent, but expensive. The single restaurant is very good. However, the food and the common areas pale with repect to Jaguar Reef down the road.
