Great hotel for anyone who wants to visit the city of Coburg, perfect for citytrippers! Only thing is that the parking lot is rather limited. If you happen to have the opportunity to travel by public transportation, I would advise that option. The train station is nearby and the hotel is on a 2-minute walk from the historical city centre.

My principle complaint is a small one: I missed the fact that there were no cups for drinking. For simple things like swallowing medication or having a drink of water, it was inconvenient. I had to remember to buy a little bottle of water so we'd have something to drink out of.

We had a very bad experience with the Hotel clerk on 9/2/24 @ about 2100-2130. We arrived back from a busy day and noticed one remaining parking spot at the hotel location, however the gate would not dispense a ticket. I immediately walked to the front desk and was told by a staff remember that she was holding the Parking spot for another guest. I then asked was this policy to hold parking spots or was the policy first come first service. The Hotel staff member became very rude and even mentioned to my wife that she could in fact ask us to leave the property. Keep in mind that our stay had been for approximately 9 days and we always adhered to the parking policy, if full then park down by the local parking garage. We normally visit the IBIS in Coburg during our yearly European vacation. Sad to say we will not be visiting this property again in the future.

Zimmer 221 - Bitte Matratzentausch!!
Eigentlich hatte ich mich auf das Hotel gefreut, da ich schon öfter in einem Ibis stylen untergebracht war. Alles war auch wie gewohnt hübsch und sauber, als ich mich dann aber abends in meinem Zimmer 221 ins Bett lag, kam das böse erwachen… die Matratze war total durchgelegen. Man versinkt total in einem Loch und der Schlaf war daher alles andere als erholsam.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich möchte Ihnen von einem äußerst unangenehmen Vorfall während meines Aufenthalts in Ihrem Hotel berichten. In der zweiten Nacht meines Aufenthalts ist Folgendes passiert: Gegen 23 Uhr, als ich bereits im Bett lag, betrat plötzlich ein Mitarbeiter zusammen mit zwei Gästen mein Zimmer – ohne anzuklopfen oder zu klingeln. Dabei hing an meiner Tür deutlich sichtbar das Schild „Bitte nicht stören“. Dieser Vorfall hat mich zutiefst erschreckt und mir große Angst bereitet. Eine solche Erfahrung war äußerst beunruhigend und unakzeptabel. Ich bitte Sie, diesen Vorfall zu prüfen und entsprechende Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um sicherzustellen, dass so etwas in Zukunft nicht
