Confirm your room reservation directly with hotel.
King room was clean, but cramped for a three-night stay. Key point to know is that pictures on Hotels.com are of a second floor room in main building. First floor rooms are on the parking lot with no view and no privacy if curtains are open. I understood I had reserved a second floor room, but that turned out to be not confirmed by the hotel. I recommend calling hotel directly to confirm you have reserved second floor room. Apart from that, hotel is clean and safe. There are two buildings - only rooms on second floor main building have views. The hotel is on a bluff above downtown. Public stairs connect parking lot to downtown blocks and the ferry terminal. A Safeway is two blocks away.

Excellent Large Room & view of the jetty & port
Great Room with stovetop, microwave, dishes, pots & pans, plus a lot kitchen items you would need. A large Bay window looked out over the old city. Separate bedroom. Large living room with sofa, 2 chairs with ottoman’s & a dinning room table that sat four.

Location is what you get. Not the worst, but overpriced for the season we visited. Walking distance to the pier and shops. Very close and convenient for driving to different parts of the park and coast. We had a king room ‘with a view’. Our room felt like a musty basement, mold in the shower. The AC (wall/window unit) was in the bathroom, and didn’t work half the time - or froze out the bathroom leaving the bedroom warm. Breakfast area is very small, no seating left for us both mornings. I would’ve expected the quality of this hotel at maybe half of what we actually paid.

Good location and decor- dated exterior
Great location, we got a room with 2 Q beds so it was in a detached building with no elevators . The building rear has some one’s home that had stuff laying in the backyard like it was being used for a junkyard so that was a bit of an eye sore - don’t think the Hotel can control that . Rooms were clean , hot breakfast was sufficient.
