Dated hotel, dependent upon Time Share crowd
We drove in, so we got there a bit early, but they would not let us check-in until 3pm. So we left and came back. The Front Desk staff are not very well trained. Customer Service means nothing. I tried getting change for tipping 3 times, they kept saying they didn't have any. Our room was on the Gound Floor, the staff kept whizzing by on gas-powered Golf Carts & small vans to drop off & pick people up. The food in the Buffet was pretty decent and the servers offered great service. They had only 1 rack to hang any towels, swimwear etc. The safe was an rusted & old. Not a digital safe. Needed a key which they didn't have. This complex is huge, with the Time Share on one side, and the hotel on the other.

This was one of the worst trips. The hotel didn’t provide a mini bar. Not enough towels in the rooms. When calling for this services they are not provided. They actually left the only mini bar items outside the door, instead of bringing it inside and putting it in the fridge. The food is the worst. Never being to a resort where the most common thing for the resort is the food and the food here is the worst. Never again coming back.

Overall our experience was EXCELLENT! The property is safe, staff is excellent, food is really good.You can get authentic Dominican food which isn’t always common when going to a resort. They did not pressure us to do a tour although we chose to attend. Property is beautiful and has villas like mansions with private staff. We received 5 star treatment everywhere and not just because we were VIP guest. You can tell everyone cares so much about making the guest happy. The facilities were not overcrowded which I LOVE! There were several pools, lounge areas and private secluded beaches with hardly anyone there where we were free to swim and enjoy tranquility. The food at the restaurants was very good. Everyday we had a new reservation. our favorite was the Mexican & Thai restaurants. Drinks were so good, fancy & strong. Rooms were clean & stocked with everything needed. We had a great location less than 20 feet from a pool. There was also a shuttle to get you around the extensive property & the shuttle stop was right by our room. Staff would also pick us up in golf carts if they see you waiting for the shuttle too long. Only downside of our stay- huge roaches in our room. We were the first rooms down a long hallway outside of a mango tree ground floor. We loved our room but the tree provided unlimited food source to critters. All resorts have this and this one like all exterminate but the room location is why it happened and likely will not be your experience on higher floors.
