The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided suggestions and an area map for getting around. Since we were paying for 24 hours of parking, we checked out by 11am but got to stay parked for the full 24 hours while we toured the city some more. That was very helpful. We did find a space in their tiny parking lot. The room was small but adequate.

The structure is rather old and needs renovating. Rooms are not made up every day and level of cleanliness is approximate. Personnel in part unfriendly. Only plus: near the city centre

Everything was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful - they held my bags until check-in time. The room was spacious and clean. It’s very easy to walk into town.

Unhappy Reception Staff
Having travelled for the last 2 months I can honestly say we have never experienced such disinterested and unhelpful reception staff. While not rude they just had no people skills at all and clearly did not enjoy their job.
The hotel itself is in a perfect location to see the old town and while dated and in need of a new bed it suited our needs.
Just would just have been nice to be greeted with a smile and maybe even a reply to our greetings when we returned in the evenings.

Great Value
Check in was easy, room was clean and big. I was able to borrow an iron. You have to put in 10 Euros deposit for parking, but get it back when check-in out. Only "issue" was the cleaning lady knocked on our door before check out time (she didn't speak English), after the second time I put the don't disturb sign and she knocked again... Not sure what the issue was. Our room was right at the street. In the summer you have to have a window open and it's pretty noisy. Check out was easy. Overall great for the price and closeness to the city center.

Excellent Location to access the old city.
Parking should be managed better.
It is necessary to reserve a parking place beforehand.
Reservation of the parking space at the time of the Check-in at 15:00 is too late.

This hotel is at excellent location. Walking distance to downtown Salzburg (5 minutes), yet there is parking in the area. I don't think you can drive to hotels situated in the old town. I was little worried because of some negative reviews here, but the hotel was fine. If you are travelling in summer make sure your room is not facing west. It was very hot in our room in the afternoon and summer is only beginning. I don't think there is AC or fan there.

It would have been great if they had taken my request to allocate my two rooms next to each other and not on separate floors. I had placed my request months in advance and was disappointed to check-in and see that my son was allocated a different floor from me.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE AND HORRIBLE!!!
The first night that we checked in, we found a USED bath towel hanging on the rack and there were no new towels for us. So I went down to the reception to explain the situation and the receptionist said she will send someone. There was no apology for whatsoever.
We also found the room very dirty. There is a walnut and a piece of plastic on the floor. The next day morning, I made a specific request to the reception to clean our room probably. But when we came back to the room in the evening, the beds are made but they didn’t clean the room. The hairs are everywhere.
I went down and told them that the room is not clean. They came up with the excuse that I left the card on the door to not clean the room! It’s absurd! Why did I have to leave the card on if I specifically ask to clean the room. And I told them that someone came in our room for sure, because the beds are made and the towels are changed. Only that they didn’t swipe or vacuum the floors. And they came up with another excuse: they don’t vacuum the floor everyday. EXCUSE ME?!? Isn’t it the basic thing to do to run a hotel?!? So I ended up calling the cleaning team to vacuum the room in front of me!!!!
Never seen a situation like that! Needless to say how rudes the staffs are!
