We were greeted with a personalized goodie bag and got a room on 3rd floor. Room on small side but that didn’t bother us. The decor and amenities in room (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, no safe though) we’re tasteful. I’ll give props on the comfort of mattress, pillows and bedding - very comfortable. Nice sink and mirror in bathroom. Walk in shower door needed adjustment as it didn’t stay closed. Breakfast in am was ok. What really brings on such a low rating is that the hallway of the hotel and our room were unbelievably damp resulting in sn old wet carpet or mop stench. Even our bedding and clothing felt damp to the touch. We tried to negotiate our way to cancel our 2nd night reservation at 10 am same day but it was denied. We decided to tough it out. Upon return at the end of the day, a housekeeper appeared and asked us if we wanted her to Febreeze the room. Uh no. A spray can mask the smell but not deal with the mouldy humid smell. Upon check out, front desk just said sorry about your experience.
