ALL STAR WEEKEND
We usually go here because it's quiet and I love the Executive Club Lounge but... we stayed during ALLSTAR WEEKEND -which I totally forgot about when we booked the location. It was a little crowded than usual but at least my 10 year old daughter got to meet some of the NBA athletes (retired and active players) ... However, I didn't know who they really are since I'm in the fashion and movie business. My husband told me who they were but again, brain fart afterwards. LOL.

Sheraton Grand is GRAND
Always happy staying at the Sheraton Grand Chicago- strangely, there was some cleanliness issues in the elevators and in a few common areas that I noticed this time there. Not usually the case with this beautiful hotel though- I think it just might have been really busy. I had difficulty finding a table to sit at and do work that didn't have to be cleaned and the elevators frequently had litter or spills to step in/on. Other than that, this place is beautiful and perfectly situated in Chicago. Everything about the hotel and the surrounding neighborhood is great. Parking is very reasonable too. The hotel itself is quiet and comfortable with good amenities.

When you check in, if you're not already part of Marriott Bonvoy, ask to join. It's free to do so, you'll get free high speed internet during your stay, and you get to drink the complementary bottle of water without being charged (not to be mistaken with the mini-bar offerings which you will still need to pay for). Only thing I would recommend not doing is using the water from the sink/shower for anything beyond brushing teeth or taking a shower, as it's particularly cloudy in a glass.
