While the history of the castle and decor are neat, the bed and pillows were terrible, the room was bright with no curtain to block light from the opaque window in the door (which also made it loud), there was no internal lock on the door, and the sink was located outside of the bathroom with the only soap being for the shower. One front desk clerk was great, but the other was less than friendly, and we felt that only one door out of the building being left unlocked when we left (at 8:30am on a Sunday) is a fire hazard.
The bar was closed on our Saturday night, apparently due to staffing, but the bartender in the restaurant was great.
I would not stay at this hotel again.
