Old hotel with outside walkways for access to room 315. Room rug shed like an old dog. Room heat was via thru-wall unit, noisy and blowing lots of cold air before heat. Breakfast was meager without eggs or waffles or sausages. Cheap feeling. Cereal + cold milk, hot tea water. No oj or apple juice. For a hotel at this $$$ room rate it leans heavily on its history instead of having expected level of services. Needs an upgrade. I would not stay here again even if the price was 1/2 the rate. Old does not replace modern convenience and upscale amenities

Some rooms are better than others
Was were assigned to the end of the road room, as a punishment for booking through Hotels.com. The receptionist all but told me that. This room was furthest from the hot water heater and thus only had a hot shower is before 6:30am, after that only cool water. Breakfast was OK, Happy Hour was very good daily.

The Meeting Street Inn was a cozy place to stay in the heart of historic Charleston. The inn is nestled near a lot of the local attractions. The rooms were clean and the four post bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. They provided cookies, a charcuterie assortment, and breakfast at different times throughout the day. It oozed the charm that Charleston is well known for. We had an amazing experience!
